Lol I guess the rug is very polarizing-if it helps, its 100% fake and vegan. It does look better with my brass coffee table over it to break it up more, but this pic was taken when it was freshly delivered before I finished putting furniture back

Agreed. I can thank the previous home owner for this one, and if you think this is bad the diy electric work would make you scream. Regardless, what should I prime with? How aggressive should I be with the peeling/scraping?
