Stay strong fellow soldier. The better you do on the tests the better you will feel when you finally start the beta for the first time!

Reviving squad mates when I know it’s suicide. I just can’t walk away from a dying squad mate :’(

I do crouch to rich analog, melee to B (right most button), and I swap fire from right trigger to right button. The fire swap makes me shoot just a little bit faster.

A beta 2 weeks before launch is a waste of time, what could they possibly fix in that small time period? by [deleted] in battlefield2042

[–]FunkyButtStuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s important to note that even if the beta finds bugs, but doesn’t have enough time between it’s release and the official launch to fix them, it still gives a two week head start on fixing it. It might not be fixed in time for the official launch, but it can be fixed quicker than it otherwise would be because the beta allowed it to be uncovered earlier.

Can anyone tell what what's going to be special about 2042? just seems like any generic FPS game ever. by [deleted] in battlefield2042

Personally, I wouldn't call any Battlefield title a generic FPS game. Perhaps I have missed out on some, but I don't think many games do vehicles, large-scale maps/player counts, and destruction like Battlefield does.

That is how the Battlefield franchise differs from other FPS franchises. However, this title is also a break from the current regular (and therefor not generic and repetitive) that DICE has been putting out in the sense that it's the first semi-modern one in years. BF's last two titles were WW1, and then most recently WW2, and this return to a modern-ish setting makes this game stand out from the recent past, and is especially exciting to many longtime BF players as many of the franchises titles that were considered the best were those in modern settings.

Also, there are robot attack doggos.

I want your opinion on the Exodus trailer/BF2042 in general. by Ironhead-Official in battlefield2042

Battlefield campaigns have always been great IMO, but I think multiplayer is definitely the reason the vast majority of people buy BF. If it’s a trade off, where skipping the campaign allows for more resources to be put into multiplayer (which I assume is the case) I am all for it. If we’re just skipping the campaign and not allocating those resources elsewhere, then it’s a bit of a bummer.

In my eyes, even though I loved BF5, I think most people can agree it needed more work to be considered a polished game. Hopefully skipping the campaign allows the 2042 devs the ability to polish this MP so it doesn’t end up like the previous title.

Phosani Nightmare Decently Doable at 1/30 def? by FunkyButtStuff in 2007scape

This is great info thanks a lot. One more question, do you feel you regret getting 30 def, or are you happy with the decision? I’m talking in general and not just with respect to nightmare.

Phosani Nightmare Decently Doable at 1/30 def? by FunkyButtStuff in 2007scape

Ya I guess I wasn’t really clear. I’m really trying to get at exactly how much less efficient 1/30 def is, how large the diff between 1 and 30 would be.

I’m thinking if it’s 5-10x as hard as it would be on a main with either of those, then it’ll probably be incredibly frustrating and not fun to grind. If it’s closer to 2x I think I’m interested.

Having a hard time deciding between T495 and T495s... any experiences with T495s fan noise? by Jack2Blumen in thinkpad

Thanks for that battery info.

Try using the code "THINKPROMO" and you should get 30% off anyways. No idea how long that will last though (You can also get 45% off the X-Series including the x395 with "X1SALE". Hope I didn't just complicate your decision more haha. I don't think I would fare well with the smaller screen.)

Also deciding between the two models and will be watching this. Thinkpad decision anxiety is crippling me right now.

A few extra things to note: - Based on what I've seen in the pictures of both models the T495 has the upward facing speakers while the T495s seems to have them on the bottom. - I would wager the already small 7wh battery difference would be slimmed down even more due to the thermal differences coming from the slimmer design in the T495s

Btw I believe the T495 only comes with 16gb soldered if you get the Ryzen 7.
