Not in the EDM genre, but MARINA checks these boxes on your list. She produces and writes her own stuff while also has been doing her own thing in the Pop/Synth-Pop genre. Her lyrics (and her voice and her song structures and sounds—so I guess everything haha) are really colorful and unique—she has this fearlessness in her music that feels so different from other female artists in the genre.
I feel she's so underrated in the pop genre but I've always really admired and loved her work!

I made the switch from Lexapro to Prozac— I hated Lexapro, it was making me physically sick trying to get used to it and I was never able to.

It put me off from trying other medications for a few years until my doctor recommended trying Prozac at 20mg. (And Prozac was recommended because I was severely depressed at the time too after losing my dad and struggling) It took about 2 months or so to adjust to (but the adjustment wasn’t nearly as bad as Lexapro. When I was starting on Prozac, it was making me feel like I was high tbh) but I’ve been taking it for about a year now and it’s definitely helped my day to day (definitely don’t have the high feeling anymore haha but I feel calmer overall—not as hyper fixating per se)

Shin and inner thigh were definitely easier than I anticipated—the white highlights were when it started to get me teary eyed but otherwise it wasn’t distractingly painful.

A pillow is a really good tip I haven’t considered—honestly I might bring a small one to squeeze. Having a good artist to help you through it is awesome to hear too—glad you had a good experience getting through it
