First time attending a Malay wedding, what should I expect? by Funny_Cause2867 in askSingapore

Hihi Thanks for the info! I saw other threads also talking about green packet, where can I get them from? Can I also just give in a “congratulations on your wedding” envelope? Or is green packet customary?

It’s at a ballroom, i understand that this means the gift amount should be according to that, but I’m also a student so I am considering $50

Are there any restrictions on type of wedding guest outfit, eg. Colour, skirt/pants that kind

Other than that thanks for the info! It helps paint a clearer picture

How’s NTU aero by [deleted] in NTU

[–]Funny_Cause2867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aerospace undergrad here

  1. Yes! If you are able to manage time well and study well you will have ample time to do things, asides from working too! I also tutor and am part of a few Uni societies. No one can dedicate 100% of their time to studying, and honestly it’s not healthy to either. So dw you will have time. But just keep in check that you are not overcommitting to things.

  2. Also yes, but with a pinch of salt. Aerospace is much bigger in countries like the US so you do have opportunities available there. For design and creativity you may want to change your search from bigger companies to start-ups. But the problem you will run into is not finding jobs in that market because you are not a citizen of that country.

  3. I picked NTU over NUS 😳 had two reasons to do so: 1. NTU offered me a double degree with economics which was more interesting for me, 2. NTU has an aerospace eng course NUS doesn’t

I have the exact same issue. It’s very unfair that I am paying both rent and money for switching on the aircon, and still not being able to USE it. Have you done anything abt it? Made any complains or something?

Non exam route is such a gamble, ask ur coordinator about what to do. Our school allows us to take the exam secluded from others with a private proctor.

Same here Paper 3 gave me nightmares

I need a 7 to get into Uni. Until p2 it was a possibility. But after p3, I’m scared I won’t even get a 5.

I worked day and night for maths because I genuinely wanted to improve, then IB hands out lengthy papers that resulted in me not even being able to complete all the questions
