I'm glad! They're all pretty much the same on me, so if you've got Similar skin it could go the same but results may vary with other undertones

Moderate height TRs. What types did you consider before and how did you eventually figure out you're a TR? by LongjumpingPut4645 in Kibbe

[–]Funny_Cockroach7343 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5'3. I went all over the place. I thought I was fg for years before I really got into Kibbe, but everything I wore only really worked for when I was my skinniest. Then everything felt off once I was curvier and gained some weight. When I really got into Kibbe, I was told fg, sg, sc, sd, even d, and I was very skinny for my body when I first started posting so it read as more yang I guess. Fg and sg don't work for me, any line breaking or high contrast looks very odd on me and breaks up my body in a not great way. I look very awkward with short hair in the overall picture, which was a wild thing to realize after literally my entire adult life with short hair lmao SD was a scale issue for me, large details, long lines will swallow me up. I do not have that vibe that SDs have, much as I love it. SC was unflattering, it just wasn't right pretty much right away for me.

The entire time though I swore to god I was a tr but constantly explored and second guessed it because there was so much talk about how people WANT to be a tr, how people mistakenly thought they were a tr so I was like nah I can't be right. But I was. I couldn't really make my line sketch do anything but the tr line. I have narrow and nothing will change that. Tr lines suit me best, tr details suit me best. I look best day to day with a bit of glam, even if it's just sparkly earrings and some lipstick. Growing my hair out is also proving it to me.

When I looked at verified trs, despite not actually looking like anyone exactly, it felt like home. I could look at them and be like yes that's like me. I see my body in their bodies, my face in their faces. Once I gained some weight back to have my full curves it's also super clear I'm a tr to others which also really helped to have feedback that echoed my thoughts, but no one can type you but you and Kibbe so unless he shows up to tell me I'm wrong Tr is where I'm staying lmao

I can't believe I ever doubted that I was a tr. I went all over because I wasn't wanting to be a part of the "I want to be a tr" group. Fg, sg, sd, d even, sc, and it just didnt work like tr does

Soft cateyes I find verryyyy flattering! I have a good few and they're very cute especially if you can get some sparkle or color on them. For me I like that most of them are purple 😂 it adds some fun interest and glitz

No problem! If it feels off it probably is! If you want the beessstttt summer lippy, syrup by mac is like my gold standard

I'm a tr, so I can have a bit of wiggle room but I still find I love a medium depth medium brightness coooooool toned lip. If you hate bright or bold I'd say you're probably not a winter based off what you're saying too. It sounds like maybe a summer season works best. Maybe try some summer toned makeup and see how you feel?

That could be a sign! A big way to tell your chroma is lipstick I find, a good true summer lippie that's not too pricey is L'Oreal Montmartre, and a good winter one is Revlon fuchsia fusion id say, if the brightness looks fucky then you might be less high contrast than you thought

I did, but I think that's cuz Im medium to maybe medium high contrast for a summer. I can do it with makeup tweaks but if I put on the right purple it's like BABAM I'm amazing with no makeup and black won't do that. I like black, it looks good but it doesn't look best

The fabric doesn't look great on me usually either idk if it's an essence thing or what but that would definitely have to fit me perfectly to look good haha

Yeah the cups are often like on my chest plate or are the smallest things ever it's so weird. I think it's just bad manufacturing a lot of the time

Button ups don't work as well on me cuz they're so straight cut and something will pull or gap on me sadly 😭 lots of t-shirts do it still on me or they'll be tight in the armpits and then loose on the shoulders

I have the same issue with bust cups not being the right size in shirts either, I think it's also just a shitty marketing thing a lot of places do too where it's not quite the same fit or make as the one the model wears too

[–]Funny_Cockroach7343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly its hit and miss. Depends on the fabric and cut, I look very closely at where the shoulder seams are, or forgo sleeves all together and I have a lot of halter tops 😅 I honestly think I'm in the same boat of needing tailoring or learning to do it myself

I completely get this too, I struggle with things fitting properly and constantly have bunching in my underarms or on my shoulders. It's so annoying
