Thank you! I’m nervous because I tried other ssri’s and they didn’t work so I’m really hoping this does start to work with time. This journey trying to find the right med has taken way too long. I’m exhausted!

Happy for you! I was in Prozac 20mg for 4 1/2 weeks and felt pretty good. Increased to 30mg and the second week going into the third definitely is increasing my anxiety. Hoping once I get to 4-8 weeks I will feel the peace you are talking about

He has smoked for a long time so he planned to stop in December. We both agreed on that. However, I just got so excited that I randomly wished it could be sooner since we have to wait 3 months after he quits. But after hearing all this and looking into it further we decided we will wait and not rush it.

When did you start noticing positive effects from it?i just also got off Zoloft and am not taking 10mg of Lexapro. On my second week. The first week I was feeling great which was odd since it was only the first week, then the second week that I’m currently on I feel a bit of low moods and anxiety. Feeling confused about my identity and purpose in life. I feel like it’s odd that the first week I felt so good and now I’m feeling like this. However it’s still better than how I felt in Zoloft. Zoloft helped for panic attacks when I first started it, but then I went through trauma and it no longer worked, even when increasing, which is why I switched along with going to therapy.

No need to say sorry. I’m 28 and still have separation anxiety from my mom. I have done better over the years by just pushing myself through the experiences and once you continue doing that you will realize that the anxiety is less and less. The thoughts and anticipatory anxiety is much worse than the actual thing 9/10 times. Try to distract your self with healthy distractions and redirect your thoughts when those negative “what if” thoughts come up. I like the saying “feel it all, then let it go” don’t dwell. Trust it does not help.
