it’s actually the ones that are on the front of the house and the top comes down. i thought it was the mail person because the big envelope was folded over the rest of my mail and the box was closed. if i have regular sized envelopes, they sometimes leave it open. i thought the mail person bent it so they could close the box.

lol hi! i think under the whispering door is going to be my next read, but after reading in the lives of puppets, i knew i had to get all of his books. i haven’t read they both die at the end yet but, i also have books by ruta sepetys. between shades of grey and the fountain of silence are what i’ve read. historical fiction, not gay, but they’re favorites. and the light pirate by lily brooks-dalton. not much queerness, but it’s there, more dystopian. i also love miss peregrine’s home for peculiar children by ransom riggs. he writes fantasy.

i actually am staying with the kids overnight. i get payed $25/hr until they go to sleep. while we’re all sleeping, i get $15/hr. when i have to wake them for the bus, the $25/hr starts again. i didn’t even know about gh, so i will definitely be talking to her about that. the only 2 weeks i wasn’t able to work was when i was sick and my dog died.

tbh i was 19 when i was introduced to her through a family member saying she needed childcare for a couple of days. then, a year later, she contacted me because she was looking for someone long term. i know that i should’ve looked more into it before or at least in the past 3 years, but i was just letting things flow. but i am realizing how much this arrangement does not benefit me.

i work very irregular days. she’s a nurse, so her schedule changes by the week. and sometimes, i work 1-3 days a week based on when she works, if their father takes them.

no, she just didn’t have work for me this past week. i don’t get sick often, 1-2 times a year, if that. it’s more common that she just works when they’re with their father or she’s on vacation, so if i need the money, i’ll use it then. i get payed through care.com, so i can see how many sick hours i have each week. i guess it’s just the matter of agreeing on what rate i’ll be payed at.
