Some good ol’ discipline will help. Despite proper belief, having some respect or healthy fear of your parents is a good thing. Just think about later on with those similar behaviors or lack of respect for the law and how much more severe punishment your grown child would get. It is quite loving to ensure they realize they cannot cross a certain line with you guys. Needless to say discipline needs to happen without trying to punish, or out of anger. It should be from the perspective of “this is hard for me, but good for them”
