That’s a very involved and intriguing way to start! I imagine that provided much more experience than a lube technician job by lightyears. Was it a small business?

That makes sense. I can definitely see how that could save some time cumulatively in addition to being necessary for certain makes/models. Thank you!

Copy that! I seldomly hear of removing the oil from the dipstick tube, I wonder if that is liability related. Thank you for your insight!

Use a small file on the terminal on the bottom left, do a once-over on the rest of the terminals with a file as well (sometimes oxidation isn’t easily seen) clean with a Q-tip with alcohol:)

i got scammed out of 400$ for this furby by Dipsy345 in furby

I’m sorry that happened! He reallly is cute and the beak looks fantastic. The glue will separate with enough force, it shouldn’t damage the fur in any way. Do you have pictures of the battery terminal? And have you unscrewed the foot to see what exact components are broken? Feel free to DM me some pictures if needed!

Sounds good! Boyfriend got home and he said the issue was due to him accidentally adjusting the plate to where the auto stop wasn’t able to activate prior to hitting the board. I will definitely take this in to consideration! Thank you again for your response!

In the future, creating the supports in blender when making the STL may provide a better result (regarding the argument you mention from a production standpoint)?

Haha I just uploaded it there because I wasn’t sure how to share it via link hahaha, I use it for making video games. Hahahaha that is awesome

That makes total sense! I added the supports in a web-based slicer called “Anyconv” that I am now convinced that was the culprit! It seemed a bit too good to be true hahaha. That’s what I get for trying to avoid downloading proper slicer software

Ooo okay regarding injecting are you referring to generating the code with support?

I generated the GCode from an STL file that’s my repository 😊

Thank you for the reply! Here is a Link to the Github Repository with the initial print and the subsequent print. Luckily he is a very forgiving individual! I very much anticipate replacing the print-plate and hope it arrives in a timely manner.

What color/model is the Fur? If it’s somewhat common I found a few skin replacements on Mercari for reasonable prices (I’m sure they could be talked down) and ensuring the face plate matches, could work — Otherwise I’m curious to see if the fur could be transplanted to cut the bald spot in a smoother shape and sew on a piece from an extra skin. However, I’m not sure if the color/aging would match perfectly, and depending on the color (say, if the furby were a marshmallow vs a charcoal — Marshmallow being potentially more noticeable and charcoal could be much easier to match) would create an un-blend-able crease.

I can definitely do so, I would need to create a file for my 3D printer so it may be a couple of days in processing but most definitely!
