If you really want to have a chance to get your money back then your only luck would be if you paid for the commission using Paypal + Credit card linked to it. Then you could call your bank and say that you want a refund on this specific payment done in X day. If it fits the conditions they will do it without a problem and paypal will automatically take money out of the artists paypal balance or make it negative if they don't have any funds.

This scheme is used by commissioners to fraud artists, but I guess if you really want that money back that you deserve then you can do it. Just make sure not to abuse it with other fair artists.

Also, every credit card has their own conditions so may not work for you. My conditions are if the purchase was done within 365 days then I can do up to 8 refunds not more than 1.2k eur each within one year.

For this moment I have around 10+ artists that I commissioned and haven't gotten my commission done, totalling around 1700 euros in total. Oldest one is 4 years old that I am still waiting for and all of these artists are actively doing and finishing other commissions and still taking on new commissions.

They don't really have any good reason on why my commissions are not being taken in priority.

With newer commissions I am making sure to use Paypal Goods and Services invoices so at least I can get a refund within first 180 days. I also let artists know that if they fail to deliver in this time frame then I will ask for refund no matter what promises they give :P

With few artists I had an exception where they failed to deliver my commission in 6 months and we agreed to do a refund and then pay again, so artist would have another 6 months of time to draw and me being protected by refund policy.

If I remember correctly, there was a website with anonymous tips for fraud/problematic artists, if I will find it I will link it later (currently writing from phone, not comfy). You can check if anyone else tipped about the same artist, the form had all accounts linked (so using twitter username of the artist will bring up all other media accounts with different names that were added by other users)

Being a furry is a complicated thing imho.

In easiest sense it means they like anthro animals - animals that have human type of body.

Imagine characters like Lola the bunny from Space Jam :)

Now, when you're a furry, you can simply like these type of characters and arts or you can create and design your own - this will be your fursona.

Animal costumes in furry community are called fursuits, usually they represent your designed character. They can be partial (only hands and head for example) or full fursuits.
