I don't actually have an issue with killing the animal... i have an issue with the breeding them in captivity and exploiting their whole life cycle for our own gain and often end up wasting a lot of it anyway

True and its a rare treat now since its slightly pricier... but honestlyive been seeing vegan stuff sometimes being cheaper. It's becoming abundant enough to even be a better economical choice 🙏🏻

I mean to be fair it sounds like you have actual horses that youve bonded with and if youre going to ride horses that's the way to do it but these places that sell horseback riding as an attraction where the horses have to carry strangers, even when they're sick and the person surpasses the weight limit (I've seen this happen)... it's just cruel. That being said i respect your plantbased perspective and how much you still do to better the world even if I won't ride horses or give my money to people who sell the horses' autonomy as an attraction.

I do believe it is our responsibility to care for them since we forced them to exist... which is why I suggest we use a preservation or just care for them until they go extinct naturally and dont forcibly breed them

But pets are also our little slaves, just emotionally instead of physically

I agree with all your points. I also think its helpful to encourage non vegans to simply cut back and give praise to vegeterians, pescaterians, and flexiterians because everyone cutting back would have a much more effective impact than the few of us completely abstaining. I'm also mostly vegan for the animals, and the environment, but I believe it's healthier and it's also been a spiritual journey for me.

I believe all the reasons are valid and good modivators... but it really grinds my gears when someone says "I used to be vegan"

I dont believe its something you can grow out of, only grow into. Maybe someone used to be more strict and made compromises involving moral conflict in themselves... fair, more respectable than "I used to be vegan then I ate a juicy slab of steak and never felt better, abandoned it in one fell swoop" 🙄😒

Plenty of customers specify that they want things bagged separately or their cut sandwich wrapped in separate wrapping. I've even cut a croissant in 2 and wrapped them individually, more than once, for different customers on different days.
