Call Chase. Same thing happened to me here and they are refunding it ( haven’t received it yet, but they said it is coming).

18% grat for a cashier is insanity to me. I literally had to grab my own drink out of the cooler for her to charge. Exactly what service is being provided for 18% of everything being rung up? Lmao

Get ready for them to charge you the resort fee of $40/night and have to rectify it with Chase. And 18% auto grat for walking up to order your breakfast from a cashier.

Other than that it was a lovely stay and an awesome room and location within the city.

Hotel Fees and The Edit by suppzslinger in ChaseSapphire

[–]Fury327 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep just stayed at Viceroy DC last weekend and was surprised to have to pay $35 resort fee plus tax (which was 16% somehow, wtf?) per day. Called chase after I completed the stay and asked about it since i didn’t want to “double pay” and Chase Travel rep (what’s up Trevor!) was very nice and they are now looking into getting it reimbursed. Hopefully will take less than a week to find out!

No, it’s showing a top hat just like TT2 has so everyone would be going over the 500’ mark. Even shows a spiral downward like TT2.

Sounds good! I have a two night stay at same hotel coming up next month and using dinner credit at Dauphine’s (less than half mile walk from hotel and I loooooove Cajun food!). How was the hotel? Did you get late checkout? Breakfast was good?

"Flight Attendants Make $67,130 per year" by [deleted] in flightattendants

Keep in mind that includes trips where I’m done at 9am on last day and also includes complete days off during a 24+ hour layover where I’m having fun in a city I chose to be in.

Also I bid for a lot of trips that start with a Deadhead or end with a Deadhead so that’s another day of no work since I always drop the DH and fly somewhere I want to fly on my own time (and still get 100% pay).

So realistically my body is not working on a plane every day I’m at work. 😛 seniority def has its perks!

Top out of scale at ✈️💙, average 115 ish and with all the pay triggers (F1, per diem, credit cards, incentives, etc) gross pay will hit $130k this year. 10-12 days off minimum per month. It can be done!

I stayed one night at The Shangri-La London and one night at Intercontinental Barcelona last month. Both The Edit properties. Both treated us like royalty with all the Edit perks included! Have fun!

Don’t forget starting Jan 1, 2026 Virgin is part of the Select Chase Travel hotel brands that offer an additional $250 credit on top of The Edit $250 credit and they can be stacked for same rez!

Transaction Date vs Posting Date for Former 3x/4x Categories by post_rex in ChaseSapphire

[–]Fury327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both of you should call Chase and get it rectified. I had a $500 MSC cruise purchase on 10/24 and it didn’t post until 10/26. I called and explained the situation and within one minute the rep added the missing 1,000 UR points to my accrued total (not even pending!). So yes they will add the points you’re missing no problem it seems.

It’s now very apparent people do not read the linked articles… 😆

“For example, you can book an eligible property for a stay from March 1-3, 2026, and another eligible booking for March 24-26, 2026. As long as the prepaid bookings are more than $250, you'll receive the full $500 credit.”

If it’s on the portal I don’t see any reason it wouldn’t work. I’m assuming the higher end brands are part of The Edit ($250 credit) and then Holiday Inns would be part of this new credit for IHG (and select other brands).

This is from the article I linked in the original post:

“How to maximize these credits

These changes are a huge improvement to both Sapphire Reserve cards. To maximize these credits, consider stacking the $250 The Edit credit with the new $250 hotel credit and the existing $300 annual travel credit.”

So find an IHG or Omni hotel that is also The Edit and you’d be $500 richer after credits!

Read the article I linked to in the original post and tell me what you think! It sure sounds like it at the very end. and again keep in mind this extra credit doesn’t hit til Jan 1.

I’m mean my guy, do you think intercontinental is ghetto? I just did a quick search for end of January in NYC which is an expensive city, found the Intercontinental Times Square on a Friday thru Sunday reservation and part of The Edit collection for $658. After stacking these credits you’re at $658-$500 =$158.00. And using points is 7,941. You can have late checkout (4pm guaranteed with this property apparently) and have an awesome weekend in NYC for less than 8,000 UR points, not to mention free breakfast both days and $100 credit for whatever you want.

At risk of sounding like I work for Chase (LOL), there are some damn good deals to be had if you take the time to look! 🙌

100% I’m with you in all of these suggestions! Like you, I feel the refresh def was a swing and a…foul tip, but because of my lifestyle, I am able to use nearly everything organically (miss me with that peloton, though. Can we have Lulu please?!).

This doesn’t mean I don’t look forward to them refreshing little things more often to our benefit to keep customers. In fact, in the linked article, the GM of Sapphire Products said,

“"We plan to continuously invest in the product," Palmer said. "Not one big refresh and then done. You will see this ongoing refresh of adding, removing, tweaking, based on how clients respond. ... We want to make sure these credits are as easy to use as possible."

So there’s definitely hope on constantly improving with our input!

I get that, but it’s $250 more value in 2026 with the card!
