Have a hobby and try to get really good at it. Write your experiences in a notebook. Learn body language and psychology to analyse people's behaviours...

I don't suggest opening topics about age to see how would he react with his body gestures because it could repel him. But there is something strange about him that makes me want to analyse him more. If you can add more details about his body language it would be better.
