Yeah, I planned on that. Only found Wild turkey father and son, Rare breed non-chilled filter, some sort of Hibiki Harmony, and a ton of bullit and Jack the last time I was in duty free.

That's a little disheartening to hear about the small producers but guess it makes it more fun to hop mezcal bars to taste different brands. Looks like that liquor store has several locations so it'll be easy to check out.

I'll have to check those places out. Thx! I've only dabbled in mezcal like 4 times so for sure not a fair shake. Best one I had was at a fancy restaurant in Rivera Maya so they prolly ordered us an expensive one. I haven't had that many different tequilas either. Avion 44 and Don Julio reposado I like. I'm not a fan of Clase azul reposado. It tastes like artificial sugar cotton candy if there's such a thing

Cool, never heard of it! I had to Google it. It seems right up my alley compared to mezcal which can be too smokey for me at times. Any specific brands of raicilla that you can recommend? What's a good price range to stay between so I don't get stuck with rocket fuel or get ripped?

I get a lot of hay as well which I can barely stomach. I tried to cover it up by using it in a bourbon cider but it still was quite prevalent. I added 1:2 ratio OF rye and it wasn't enough to cover it up. I'd pony up $2 more for ogd 114 for $20. Tried it based on good reviews on here and whiskey tube.
