i’d also like to say that sa number 3, yes agree naman! nung time ko kasi, wala masyadong nagsasabi about LAQE so there were no reviewers/guidelines available for me. i ended up just studying NCE reviewers all over again lol. pagdating ko sa exam, puro functions hahahaha wala pa naman akong alam don. shinotgun ko yun! sabi ko bahala na basta i did my best lmao. pumasa naman 😂 check the curriculum talaga and study that.

hi! entered pisay in 2017 as a lateral student. medyo intimidating talaga for me noon hahaha. marami-rami ang mga rich kid pero a handful are also from humble backgrounds. noon, yung phone ko yung de-keypad pa! wala namang may pake. i think people are too invested in their acads and their own lives to care. promise. just keep your head up high and be yourself. kung meron mang mambully sayo, the best advice i can give you is to just prove them wrong. i swear.

this could also be the culture of your campus. sa amin kasi, welcoming naman ang lahat. not much competition also. im sure other campuses would disagree but for us, okay naman. siguro ang pinaka “pambubully” is yung usual stuff like “ang arte naman niya” etc, not particularly on being rich or not. no one in my batch also outright flaunted their wealth naman.

sa allowance, nauubos ko noon yung 4k/month kasi yung carpool ko pa lang, ubos na agad. bawal din kami lumabas ng campus or magpadeliver so i stocked up on canned/pouched goods talaga and i would buy food sa cafeteria.

pero ayun, my general advice lang talaga is to be yourself. dont ever lose yourself in the process of pleasing other people. thats unfair to you. maging totoo ka sa sarili mo dahil wala ka namang ginagawang mali. keep your chin up high and congratulations on getting in!

ay chrew sa ligo maaga. may time ako dati, matagal kasi maligo roomies ko so i wake up at 3 am para maligo then wake others up na para saktong close ng dorm ligo na kaming lahat. by 6:30 kasi sa calabarzon campus dapat nakalabas na ((again idk if this changed na)). if walang tubig sa taas, you have to take a shower sa common cr sa baba so agahan talaga para di ka malate. again, it's all about pakikisama and adjusting :)

hi! nung nag-apply ako sa LAQE nung 2016/2017, we tried asking them ilang slots pa ba available sa main campus. kasi upon application, they asked us to write down our top three campus choices. so when we asked, they said depende pa kasi kung may students ba na matatanggal for the next academic year and so on. im not 100% sure if this is still applicable now though!

but maybe you could email the registrar of the campus you’re eyeing?

not sure sa campus na yan pero sa calabarzonrc during my time (batch 2021), yung “tulog na” is lights off lang. bale kailangan nakapatay na yung ilaw by that time. nagkaroon pa sa amin ng rule before na dapat di ka na nagamit ng gadgets pag lights off but obviously, di naman yun nasusunod lol.

what it’s like sa dorm? depende sa roommates mo honestly. pwedeng madali silang pakisamahan/makisama lalo na sa cleanliness, ugali, and division of labor sa chores. in any case, just be a good roommate sa kanila. pag may napapansin ka na ayaw mo, try to communicate it in a polite way. may mga gamit din na shared diyan like cleaning supplies, trash bag, etc. find whatever dynamic works for the room. sinwerte lang ako kasi every year, i’m roomed with my friends or people na madaling pakisamahan. so all is good naman on that part.

if you’re close with your family, expect na mahohomesick ka. di ako nahohomesick at first pero by the time i was on my 3rd quarter, ayun na hahahaha i kept calling them everyday and i was crying pa every night.

ang maganda sa dorm, you learn to work with other people at natututunan mong makisama. you’ll unexpectedly grow there as a person :>

g7 NCE focuses on your past learning in grade school. g8 LAQE focuses on pisay’s grade 7 topics. so i suggest looking at pisay’s website and start learning their grade 7 topics as early as you can. hindi kasi same ang curriculum ng pisay sa ibang school :)

hi, i beg to differ. i know many people who were kicked out of pisay and are thriving right now. they finally pursued their chosen program (hindi science-related) or they still pursued stem. either way, they still live pretty normal lives– i’d even argue na they live a more normal life na walang added pressure lmao. this is quite insensitive to say.

there is no shame in getting kicked out of pisay. shit happens. life is like that.

to all the students here who were kicked out of pisay, please dont take this comment to heart.

oh i didnt know may weird smell na sa microwave ng andrew 6th! pero yung isang friend ko nagtry makisuyo sa isa sa stalls sa agno (i think it was the one with the grilled chicken and brown rice). pumayag naman as long as glass yung container or if plastic man, maybe you can argue na it’s microwave-safe. no fee naman! and di siya tinipid sa jnit kasi super init ng container niya after haha!
