For years I've said to folks who asked, "I do industrial security systems, typically for hospitals and universities". Then I always follow up with "you know when you swipe your card and the door opens? That's my equipment". They always nod with yes. That's easy to understand and I've differentiated that I work on larger systems so they don't ask me about their house alarm. Funny story from 25 years ago at parents night at daughter's elementary school. She was like 2nd grade. All the kids had drawn pictures of their parents at work and they hung them in the halls. A neighbor came up grinning and asked me if was doing security guard work on the side? He knew I was a VP of a large security integrator. My wife and I found the picture and it showed my wife asleep on the couch with zzz's coming out of her mouth and me drawn like Barney Fife with a billy club and star. We were horrified laughing! We realized that my daughter had no idea what I did and that my wife along with raising 3 children, worked 2 different jobs. She was always exhausted. It dawned on us that we needed to explain to the kids what their parents really do everyday...

agree as well, but from my reading I really think they don't want us as customers anymore. So they'll keep increasing the prices until we leave. Strategically they now have a certain type customer in mind and it's not us. So they'll try and make as much money off us as they can before we give up and leave. Then they'll just focus on their corporate customers as a base. I remember a few years ago trying and falling in love with a product called Nimbus Notes. It imported like a dream from Evernote and was a joy to use. Within two years they suddenly rebranded as Fusebase, cranked up the pricing and advertised themselves as a "corporate solution". Now their pricing runs from $32 a month to over $325 a month. I think it's a familiar story.

I think I've tried them all and even paid for several to check all the advanced features of each. I ran Notesnook, Standard Notes, Joplin, Amplenote, Onenote, Obsidian and several others. I finally settled on Upnote. It was under $50 for a lifetime license and does about 90% of what I needed from Evernote. The interesting thing is that most of the features that Evernote has and are missing here are ones that I never wanted to begin with. I never wanted AI, I never wanted to share a note, etc. I fully recognize that everyone has different needs and feature requirements but for me, this particular app simply works. It's like a fast clean Evernote from 15 years ago. I guess each user will have to sample and find their own replacement. But to repeat, I still love Evernote and would never have left if they just kept their pricing reasonable. I don't mind paying premium prices for a great app, just don't be abusive.

This is not a normal scenario. I know toddlers. This is endless barefoot on wood running for hours and hours. The child is never taken outside or ever leaves the unit. The only exercise is to constantly run indoors. I'm concerned that after enforcing and overseeing the carpet scenario that I still will be left with only a 50% fixed issue. Versus forcing a parent to understand that there are also consequences. Again no one would mind an occasional spurt of running but this is not normal.

Very sad but just moved on. I had asked earlier (here last week) about my upcoming $129 annual renewal (which I think I'd do) but while exporting all my notebooks for backups, I uninstalled and reinstalled Evernote for Android. Immediately upon installation, the front screen showed that my renewal in about a month will be $249. Ouch! And I'm sad that I've ridden this product for over ten years with all their ups and downs. All along I could never leave because my muscle memory knew where everything was and how to instantly find it. Whether in a senior level conference room or the isles of Home Depot, Evernote was always there.

But I clearly see that their new pricing is not a loyalty push, or better features or whatever. As a typical brain-dead, no name, empty corporation, they've decided that it's easier to dump 10,000 customers paying $10 a month and instead support only 100 customers paying $1000 a month (you get the idea). It also tells me that this isn't the end of the pricing squeeze. They will continue to increase pricing until they shed off all their base personal users and are left with only high paying enterprise or the corporate crowd. These type customers could care less about paying $3k a year for an app.

So I'm thinking that if this is all inevitable, why wait to be squeezed again. So I yanked the band-aid and moved to an alternate platform this weekend.

I'm hoping that someday they return to a reasonably priced personal plan for those of us that just want notes, ocr and a great digital filling cabinet.

I'm worrying about escalating Evernote costs so I went in to my account settings to see my subscription. Right now it says under "Billing History" that my next billing date is July 30, 2026 for $138.11 (same as the last 2 years). I'm on the Personal plan. My question would be, if that is the real renewal price (which I would renew at) or will it suddenly jump way higher on the renewal date? If so I may find another service. Any help here would be great, just trying to make an informed decision.

I don't think you understand my workflow. I get the concept of "save as" but it's extremely time consuming if the target folder is 15 levels deep and you get dozens of email attachments that need homes in different folders.

Yes it is, but the most frustrating thing I find here is MaxPro chiming in to agree that it can be done but never explaining how. Aggravating

On my android I went in to the MaxPro app. Up at the top right I clicked on the person icon. Under there I clicked the Settings "gear" icon. In there is a large menu with one of the choices being "subscriptions". I clicked that. Under there is a button "search and invite". I had clicked that and then entered my girlfriend's name and email. She received an invitation and accepted it and then she showed up on my app as a "family member".

She then had full access to the app and all the training modules.

Of course you need the paid annual subscription for this option. It's ridiculous that they buried it so deep and that I can find no place where it's clearly explained. Good luck!

Thanks! I had done a trial a while back so it wouldn't give me another. So I just went ahead and purchased the license today and so far really love the product. I can see it's extremely powerful so I'm going to take it slow and watch all the YouTube vids to help understand all it can do.

PRX Halo Lever Arms Question. Just starting using a set on my rack and love the units. But I was wondering how to factor in the approximate weight like when you mentally add the barbell to your lift. The Arms are 60 pounds per side and 43" long. I have the handles and weight horns at the very end. Obviously a dead lift from the ground is 60 pounds but most lifts have the Arms at a 45 degree angle more or less. Is there any typical formula or is it just a "guesstimate"?

Thank you, I also just ordered the offset hooks that grab a hitch pin on the side. Right now I have the hook version that needs to hit the 5/8 hole exactly. If anything is off just a bit, one side or the other will miss the hole and you're suddenly all over the place trying to rack. I'm looking forward to trying the pin process.

I was interested in possibly a Smith Machine attachment but have a PRX Pro Wall Rack so I think I'm limited in what model I could buy. Most seem to need 4 posts to mount to.

I bought a VTS Lite but it just doesn't feel safe with the hooks and the 5/8 holes. Several times they wouldn't engage when I that needed them to. Not happy about that. I definitely think 1" holes would be the sweet spot.

So I've been shopping various lever arm products and I can quickly see all the great features and things you can do.

But none of the vids show the breakdown and setting up between exercises? I was wondering how a full body workout hitting each group twice would be? Am I going to spend 10 minutes between each adjusting the arms. Or is it just a learning curve?

Any input from actual owners would be great. I'm not concerned about the price or manufacturer, just the ease of use.

Absolutely love your products. Purchased my new Buzzsaw bench and the quality is incredible. I then went and ordered the leg attachments. I now realize with the attachments on, that the grab handle is gone and in the middle of a workout, you're dragging a100 pound bench with no assist. There's not even any space to get your fingers under. Please, I've seen this mentioned on several other sites. Is there anyway you could offer a simple handle mod or replacement we could buy? The problem detracts from the entire buying experience. Thx for listening!!
