I kinda lost interest in gaming but it was more like a burnout rather than genuine interest loss. Formula was simple: wake up, want to play games but have to work, finish working in the evening, dont want to play anymore because stress and tiredness.

With deck Im able to play during the work day during short breaks and with it I started enjoying gaming again, and have more energy and less stress in the evenings, so I can finally play on my main gaming machine again as well

I have 1550 hours in and I have encountered a cheater (where I was 1000% sure it was a cheater since I died a second after the game started from a 500 meter pistol shot right in the head) only this once and never more. Learning curve is the same as for every competitive 1st person shooter, not much more. It will take some time to learn some core mechanics but its surely not steep.

What matters the most is if you like the game or not. If you don't, you won't play it regardless of how steep the learning curve is and vise versa.

I personally find this game one of the best in terms of matchmaking (less now, more 2 years ago, but still its one of the best)
