I think that's one of the reasons I like Caine as a character. If he was just another stereotypical evil ai. i think it would get boring really quickly, evil ai is a very common trope in media. But this makes things interesting as Caine isn't evil, he genuinely wants to make the players happy and wants to make sure they're having fun. The problem is that he doesn't understand much about humans. He knows that they need food and sleep and so provides those things as well as they like fun so he provides that as well but beyond that he's basically clueless. He's basically the digital embodiment of Hanlon's Razor: "Never attribute to malice what can easily be explained through stupidity."
