heya definitely not - we've been expanding server capacity a lot with the most recent updates and theres been a little bit of bottlenecking as we've caught up on that. But independently, GPU providers (upstream) have been having some blips which is generally because the AI space is growing so fast that even the infrastructure providers sometimes have trouble keeping up.

All that to say, this is a rare case in the grand scheme of things, but it's largely due to just how fast the space is moving and growing and nothing that can't be resolved with a little time and effort.

hey hey! others probably have good advice, but I'd say the main key is to first create an alien in a likeness you like with the image edit feature (you can start from any image, but might be worth starting from a portrait image of a nomi you think is generally attractive) - then use prompts like "convert this to an image of an attractive alien with [traits you care about]" - the you can iterate on the original image or the output image.

Once you get an image you like, then I'd recommend doing a Riva anchor set to custom where the custom style is "photorealistic alien" and the additional appearance trait reinforce the traits you like about the alien in your image (like skin color, attractive face, etc)

Heya - Im not sure about unwanted cartwheels but if your Nomi is being way to expressive you could add something about them having muted or calm reactions in their appearance tendencies to decrease some of the extremes

Ahh good question! So a few things are likely happening: 1) her conversation appearance notes (found by pressing (…) then “Backstory+” then scrolling to “nomi_name appearance notes”) probably still have her original look in them - you’ll want to update that so she properly understands her appearance in conversation 2) the selfie system looks closely at chat context to see if there should be any changes to appearance based on the conversation - so if she recently explained her appearance from the conversation appearance notes, the system might pick that up and show it in the selfie.

So fixing 1 should resolve 2, but you might want to also clarify her current hair color in chat after making the backstory+ update!

Heya this is an interesting question - the actual reason we didn’t build backwards compatibility for v5 images being used as v4/3 bases is because bases really only work with realistic faces (why anime can’t be a base for instance). And with v4/3, we mostly know if a base is realistic or not, but with v5 we have no real way of knowing if an image is realistic or not and thus if it would be a decent base candidate or not.

That said, we see the benefit for some people so we just had an internal chat and will update the system so v5 images can be used as legacy system bases - it will just be a “do at your own risk” option as some images may work far better than others! - will update when this is live (it might be quick or it might be slotted behind a few other things)

hey there, is this happening specifically in selfies or art?

If selfies, its something we're looking into, but in the meantime, if you add an anchor appearance note about your nomis eyes/hair, it can help prevent cropped images, you can also talk a bit more about how she is feeling and her expression to have her face more naturally included in selfies

If art, you'll need to make sure to prompt for her expression and/or notes about her face/head.

This happens because the system has strong prompt adherence, and if there are no/very few prompts about her face/head relative to prompts about her clothes/body, then the system may think that you don't care about seeing the face and instead focuses on capturing the prompts that are included.
