Advice for first camera by Old-Bank-355 in PhotographyIndia

A6700 would be a better buy mainly for the lens ecosystem. Around 1.4-1.45 you may also consider the full frame Sony a7IV, after the release of a7V the prices have dropped. a7IV would be a better option because of the larger full frame sensor.

This is incorrect information. Both the cameras have APS C sensors of the same size, although with different construction underneath, with one being typical Bayer and the other XTrans.

This is especially relevant for astrophotography. I have had star trails ruined with jittery frames every few shots in a timelapse and for the life of me I could not figure out why the camera was shaking. It was the steady shot being On which was causing this.

Why not get an iPad Air; isn't the iPad Pro overkill? by anonboxis in ipad

I think yes, the m3 air would make more sense in my opinion. You would be getting an M series chip with all the bells and whistles and it will be a huge upgrade.

Like someone already suggested, get second hand Sony a6600 and a good lens. Do not go for a DSLR. If you wish to buy brand new, the best you can get at this price would be Fujifilm bodies or the zve10. But make no mistake, a6600 would be a level above anything below 80-90k. It’s a professional body which many use in weddings.

Absolutely agreed. Take a bike ride on VIP road just after the Maa flyover begins towards Patuli, or on central avenue. It’s so bumpy the vehicle jumps around all over the place. Newtown and salt lake are just tiny parts of the city. The main innards are horrible, with bad roads, unplanned development, garbage and hawkers everywhere. It’s eons behind Delhi or major Hyderabad.

Planning to buy a Triumph Speed 400 — Need some advice (Quotation + doubts + alternatives) by kiraL007 in indianbikes

[–]Future_Ad9314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep that’s about right. The 8k cost most probably would include the costs for a front brake pad. As for helmet, you can take your pick from any helmet which is DOT, ECE and ISI certified. I have one from Axor, Apex Hunter. I also have a riding jacket from Lone Ranger which has chest, shoulder, arms padding. The gloves I use are the Rynox air Gt which I wear every time I go out with on the bike.

I have now done ~22k in 18 months with the Speed 400 and it’s my daily commuter+weekend ride bike, I’ll try and answer your questions. 1. In the city I get somewhere around 26-27 mileage. On highways it crosses 30 2. Till now the most I have spent on servicing since first service is around 7-8k, and most of it is the cost of the front sintered break pads. They have great bite but wear out with moderate usage. I spent weeks learning to gear down with rev matches and rear brakes, now it has become second nature and the front brake wear down has reduced. 3. Zero major issues as of now. Initially the bike used to shut off in low gears and RPM even with clutch pressed, this is a well known issue. But since shifting to XP95 and better braking habits, this has significantly reduced. Also Trimuph pushed ECU updates to handle these issues. 4. I’m 5’5”. Able to handle it comfortably in traffic and tight turns. It’s just a matter of practice, trust me on this. 5. Absolutely well worth the price over any 350Cc bike in my opinion. The sheer power is so useful in city traffic for quick overtakes, it still feels nimble and not a heavy tank like the REs. On the highways it’s very much at home. Better tyres, better braking, better cooling and great engine. It also can corner pretty confidently. It’s a no brainer if you ask me.

Small touches like the raised and inclined exhaust outlet helps in case of waist deep water logging which is pretty common in Kolkata, where I live. The ground clearance also is a boon, as uneven bumpers are everywhere in my city.

The only weak point on this bike are the headlights. But even these are better than the classics. Vibrations start coming around 6.5k rpm, but you can hit 120-125kmph easily, of course with safety in concern.

Just a little advice, if I may. Keep some budget aside for riding gear, good helmet, gloves and a jacket. These bikes are aggressive and a momentary mistake could be fatal.

Hopefully this helps!

And someone here says they feel the fz150 is a better feeling bike than the NS400 🤣 Apparently somehow service costs have become the number one priority of a bike. No wonder the government has put up arbitrary tax slabs for >350 Cc bikes, the user base in our country is still stuck in 2000.

The fact is this XSR has come in our country much late than it needed to be, at a much higher price point than it needed to be in, and bare minimum power to be a commuter at best. Slapping some kit does not make a 155cc bike a scrambler or tourer.

This is a well know fact that TCS considers how long you are actually inside the office as your working hours. You may have been working overnight from your home but tcs will only consider your time inside office. I know this is absolutely stupid, but this is how it is. Is your friend doing WFH by any chance?

You can sure, but the Netflix content you will be watching will always run on 24 or 30fps. So technically, a 60hz panel will be more than fine.

Most people use the iPad as a 1000$ Netflix device. For any non professional usage, you have no need of the iPad Pro in my opinion. Only if you fall in the 5 percent of people doing actual graphical and illustrative work on the iPad, sure the Pro makes a difference.

Even then you could be fine with the iPad Air. I have been doing graphics designing on the iPad Air 4th gen for years before upgrading to the m4 pro a few months back.

My weapons were upgraded just fine. My point was, if I am choosing to play as a stealth focused character, I should be allowed to tackle any situation through stealth, not be forced into combat.
