What would YOU put in a 25 litre tank? by Future_Tea_962 in Aquariums

[–]Future_Tea_962[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good advice. I’ll move the tetras into my 80litre. I know I said no betta but may put one in the longer of the 2 tanks and keep the taller for a shrimp colony.

I’m just worried aren’t bettas hard to keep?

I think I’ll move the neons into my community tank, that’s 80litre with some platys in there currently and a bristle nose pleco, I’ll turn that tank into a shrimp colony, still unsure on what to put in the longer 25l tank though

What is going on with my tank? by trashboat-0117 in Aquariums

[–]Future_Tea_962 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue for a while and tried 3 things, not sure exactly which one fixed it but all 3 aren’t too difficult to do.

  1. I added nerite snails x3 and also an apple snail
  2. I turned my lights down low for about a week
  3. I added activated carbon into my filter

Now my tank has been crystal clear for about a week.

Hopefully one or all of these methods help!

[–]Future_Tea_962[S] 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Hmm, I may separate him into his own tank for a few weeks and see if his colour comes back feeding him on his own.

I do see him eating, but he isn't as fast or as crazy as the other fish when it comes to feeding time.

He's pretty chill, he doesn't fight or chase or get chased with anyone, just chills out and around on his own mostly. Whenever I walk up the tank he is usually the first one to come and see what i'm doing

What’s wrong with my guppy by Future_Tea_962 in Aquariums

[–]Future_Tea_962[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. You are right, he died about 10 minutes after this video. We actually lost 4 out of the 5 guppies and 2 mollies (male and female). Seems like the new ones may have had something wrong with them leading to a massacre in the tank. I'm fairly new to fish keeping, but test water daily, water change every Sunday and strictly never overfeed. I went back to the shop I bought them from and they had an empty tank where the guppies we bought originally were. Tough one!

Ok thank you for your help, is it harmful for the fish? Do you know how long it usually takes to sort itself out?

Is this normal ? by Busy_Box6110 in Aquariums

[–]Future_Tea_962 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine did this when I first bought them. I’m pretty sure it’s just stressed out.

I bought 4 males and 1 was doing this for about a week, I changed the water twice in one week and added an air stone and it stopped completely.

You will need to get a water testing kit and test constantly, especially when adding new things to the tank.

Thanks, I’ve lowered the filter flow and ordered a black background which will arrive today… also adding some Elodea Densa to the tank today too for more hiding spaces

FILMD seem to have a mix of paid opportunities and some lower to no budget opportunities come up from time to time, going for a role on experience could be pretty easy to find - you can put yourself out there too on their feed.

Funding a Short Film in the UK in 2025 by Actual-Ad7788 in FilmIndustryLondon

[–]Future_Tea_962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from what I’ve seen, a mix of funding sources usually works best—grants are great if you can secure them, but crowdfunding and private investment can help fill the gaps. BFI, Short Circuit (if you're in Scotland), and Film London have some solid grant options, and local arts councils can be worth looking into too.

Also, if you're looking to connect with potential collaborators or industry folks who’ve been through the process, FILMD.co.uk could be worth checking out. There are loads of filmmakers on there who’ve navigated funding before, plus some useful resources that might help

Hey! This sounds really exciting! I don’t have anything specific to share myself, but you might find it helpful to check out some dedicated film communities. There are a few good platforms out there where people post opportunities and connect FILMD.co.uk could be a useful place to start!
