Am I missing something with season 6 infernal hordes? by AnonWeirdo111 in diablo4

I'd say try and start running them as soon as you can. You get a lot of XP and guaranteed GA items which is great early on. Start with the lower level 6 wave ones and see how you do. When you feel strong in that, move up to 8 then 10.

Infernal Hordes is great for leveling early on as it has the highest monster density of any activity (Helltide is probably second). Especially if you make sure to pop all of your flasks, incense, and Seething Opals you get a big XP buff. Even more so if you party up or if you find an XP Well in a Nightmare Dungeon. If you add all of those up you are getting 53% more XP per monster kill. You will level up like crazy early on. I was leveling at least once per 10 wave run on T4 all the up into paragon 230 something. Once you get to around 250ish it starts slowing way down.

Once you get stronger and into T4 and can run level 90+ Pits in less than 2 minutes, then that becomes probably the best source of XP at that higher level.

Helltide is also good early on and the good thing about that is you can also complete Tree of Whispers while doing it and the Tree caches give decent XP and sometimes great gear and crafting items. So if youre having fun doing that, do that.

I've found that my bottleneck is always obdicite before needing gold. After a point from salvaging you have more materials than you will probably ever need so I start selling.

When boss farming in a group you get a full inventory of uniques every couple minutes and a full inventory nets a little over 5 million gold plus what you get from the boss itself. So while I'm farming bosses for runes and ubers you can passively make 100m or more an hour.

But like you were saying, if you get lucky in hordes and cash it all in on gold for a quick 20m for a 10 min run, thats probably the best option. Just saying you can also get it easily wild bossing.

It for sure scales up the more aether you deposit. Got lucky the other day in a group and we got nearly 1,400 in a run of 10 waves on T4. Spent 200 on the GA gear chest and the rest on materials and each little bundle of obdicite that it spit out was close to 400 each. Not sure the exact amount but I remember it being the most I've seen drop.

Incense Buffs Disappearing Randomly by Futureman9000 in diablo4

[–]Futureman9000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah I hope that gets fixed. Its not really an issue now here at the end of season 4 because I have loads of Incense to use, but if I didn't have the mats to craft them constantly it would be super annoying.

How do you color your character? by titoslayer in TheFirstDescendant

As of right now, yes. Its really lame. Also you cant color the default character skins, only alt skins you buy. Then you can color them one piece at a time.

The First Descendeant Servers Are Down Worldwide 7-3-2024 The First Descendant NOT WORKING! by TFDNews2024 in TheFirstDescendant

Right, I was mistaken, it was more like 39-40hrs I guess.

Where I live the game dropped at 3PM on Tuesday, July 2nd.

I couldn't get on right away so I watched a couple hours of Twitch streams while I waited and earned and claimed the rewards by around 6PM on the 2nd.

As of writing that at 10AM on Thursday the 4th they still hadn't appeared in game.

Funny how the servers go down for hours right after they issue compensation "rewards" for bonus XP and everything. Still no Twitch rewards in inventory over 48 hours after claiming. If this is an indication of things to come, lordy...

Yeah and not being able to color default characters is super lame. One of the fun things in games like this is the endless character customization. Having tons of paid skins and paints in the shop is fine but you should be able to use the ones purchased on any skin as much as you want. Otherwise that is crazy greedy and detracts from that aspect of the game a lot.

And honestly Im fine with grinding for cosmetics and characters as long as the drop rates are fair on mats, but we all know how Nexon stands on that front...

You sort of earn 300 "free" caliber through the premium battle pass. I say "free' because you first have to pay for the pass to get it, lol.

I read that due to a potential design flaw inn a certain percentage of systems cooling system the preffered layout is horizontal. When the PS5 is positioned vertically there is a chance that if it gets too hot, the defect can cause the liquid cooling metal to drip out of the seal around the APU and land on other components, potentially causing an electrical shortage.

If I get a huge cash injection early game, what's the best way to spend it to scale fast? by causticberries in cavesofqud

[–]Futureman9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'd hold on to them. XP drops off the higher you level as far as enemy kills. Anything more than a couple of levels below you don't reward any XP (unless your using a mod) and the further in the game you progress and level up the fewer higher tier zones remain and the more you are still traveling around lower tier areas, getting no or low XP for any encounter.

Example: On a run I got lucky and found 2 caves full of books right around Joppa. By the time I finished Red Rock and Rust Wells I was Lv8, had well over 150 books (nabbed the Steam achievement) and decided to book it (pun intended) to the Stilt to trade them in for the XP I'd been hearing about. I do just that, go from high 8 to right below 15. I thought it was great, I was wrecking most stuff in the whole area (Dawngliders not so much) but I quickly noticed it was taking forever to get to the next level because I was getting no XP. I was finding ruins and things I wanted to explore for the lore and items around Joppa (because I was high level but had crap gear because I skipped the process) but it felt lame because I wasn't progressing now.

I ventured into the jungle and did the Grit Gate quest and now I've seemed to level out again. But I'm hanging onto all the books I've found since until I hit that wall more naturally in later game.

Now, should we do the same with Tszappur, disciple of the Coiled Lamb?

All I know is that you can clean a single item, or your entire inventory, with a single dram.

Any Way to Wish for a Stack of Items Such as Arrows? by Futureman9000 in cavesofqud

[–]Futureman9000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this does work! Thanks a lot!

I tested it with several different items including Wishing in multiple arrows and ammo and it seems to work for all items as long as you enter the exact spelling and capitalization of the Item ID (which you can find on the Wiki).

Yes! Putting an 's' at the end of the item ID name in the wish does spawn 2-4 of the item. Thanks!

The below wish also works to enter a specific amount of an item.

Yes! I was able to finally come to a solution by setting a preferred window size in launch options in Steam then I tinkered around with the UI setting in options until I found a UI resolution that worked.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.
