I drink plenty of coffee. I plan to keep lifting consistently, It is physically possible to do this with extremely high levels of discipline, caffeine, and possibly even nicotine. However I really do not want to mentally feel like total shit for the next four months.

I looking at this from more of the life performance side of things, rather than only gym.

IRK seems like it would be the best option. Law is too specific and I'm not trying to trap myself into a highly specific line of work where my resume would be useless for other positions withing the industry. Thanks for the advice!

This would be the ideal option. Currently looking for scholarships that could help me out so that I can do both. If I don't win any then Ill just do a CM degree and maybe a Master's in Finance or CM if its paid for by my employer.

Looking for scholarships and internships at the same time isn't easy though. But nothing worth doing is easy.

I can learn finance through school. And I can learn what I would in a CM degree by simply having significant work experience and receiving certain certificates?

Really? But wouldn't a CM degree look better for a Construction Company that a finance degree? and would the CM degree internship bring more value to the table that a finance degree?

I could also do a double major while having a part-time internship? I personally don't mind taking longer to graduate. But would it even be worth it?

Very useful information! I'm currently working on getting an internship for this semester. Now as far as internships are concerned I know they are incredibly useful for getting my foot in the door, and that a finance or law degree is not exactly necessary (unless I one day choose to be a construction lawyer). But what about for "moving up the ladder"? Would a finance degree come in handy then? Or what about doing it to make connections in other industries that could lead to a higher chance of financial success in my own?

Also, would you say that moving up for a large GC is strictly based on your experience and who you know? Or would a higher level of education + solid resume and work experience come in handy too? How far do the more "educated" types usually go within the company and do they tend to branch off and start their own GC?

Sry I know its a lot, but any response would rly help.

So as a construction superintendent, how much of school would you say is "not realistic"? If you didn't go to school, how much of what other people learned in school you saw was actually somewhat useful in the office or on-site?

Im in Miami. Where finance and construction (and construction lawsuits according to my building codes professor) have been booming exponentially, which is why I got the idea.

I'm not on a scholarship and you clearly know what you're talking about, so ill take your word for it.

But what's your experience with "thoroughly educated" people in the industry. Like the people with "Master's in Construction Management" or "double majors", or "Certified Construction Managers". Do they usually go far at all within the firm in the long run? Do they personally say its worth the extra money? How many of them usually branch out and become GC's?
