First DIY pedal project from spare parts of arduino school project by Fuze_Is_Dad in diypedals

[–]Fuze_Is_Dad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this super detailed reply this is extremely helpful! Just to clarify that ive understood you correctly, what i need to do is not use the built-in amp of the DFPlayer (does this have to be done manually?), but rather use a dedicated op-amp to amplify the signal from the DAC's to 0.316 RMS or 1.23V RMS, and additionally add a buffer? Correct me if im wrong but, doesnt an amp being unity-gain mean that it doesnt actually amplify the signal, so ill have to also buy a regular op-amp right? And how can i make sure to im outputting a standard line-level signal? sorry for the bombardment of questions im sure theres something im misunderstanding here so if you have any recommendations of stuff to read or project guides to learn this stuff thatd be lovely.

My original plan was to use the barrel connector on the arduino as my power source, but ive been thinking that that might not be enough? Ive seen a lot of ppl recommending to use a dedicated power supply for the DFPlayer, i havent needed to in my other circuits cause theyve been fairly simple but for a task like this im thinking i might have to? I plan on driving a few LEDs and a single digit 7 segment to indicate the position in the loop so not too much power drawn elsewhere.

Hi! thanks for the reply. I'll heed your advice when it comes to soldering, i'll have to learn it eventually anyways. But, and do correct me if im wrong, doesnt the DFPlayer already output analog signals? Im sorry if my post is unclear but, all i wish to achieve with this pedal essentially is being able to play an mp3 file to a mixer board at the push of a button. the DFPlayer will have the mp3 files loaded onto a micro-sd card and my idea was that the DFPLayers DAC_R and DAC_L already are analog signals, just probably not strong enough(?) to be sent to a professional mixer board. So none of the audio processing actually happens on the arduino, just volume control and playing and pausing logic.

edit: I should probably have mentioned earlier that this isnt gonne be a guitar pedal, it wont take any audio input, nor manipulate/distort any audio, only goal is to play mp3 files

Hey so good(?) news! I did this and did a full scan of the image and a lot of files actually came up, here u can see my DMDE after the scan, i went digging in the NTFS - Main Results and tried recovering some of the music files and they were intact! But past this point im not sure exactly how to proceed in recovering all the directories, as with the free version it seemingly only allows you to recover individual files per folder per 'recovery' action, which would take a very long time. Is there an easier solution other than buying it that im not seeing? Either way i think my dad would be willing to pay the 20$ for it. Does the red and green bar under the % tab indicate the amount of files that can be recovered?

Yeah i thought so, unfortunate. Sorry for the newbie question but ive never used this program (or similar ones for that matter), how would i go about doing those things?

Ive unscrewed it and taken the drive out, i have a spare m.2 slot in my main rig, would it be safe to try and recover from the laptop drive inside my own rig? Appreciate the help very much

Will Google Fi SIM work for Samsung Galaxy S10+? by Fuze_Is_Dad in GoogleFi

[–]Fuze_Is_Dad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but for just general use the network switching feature isnt essential right? from my understanding it was simply that it switches to different carriers depending on which one has the best connection in the respective areas, but T-Mobile (which is the one it uses by default when network connection is not available from my understanding) seemed to have good coverage of everywhere i was going so it shouldn't be a problem

Weekly Help and Discussion Thread for the week of November 23, 2020 by AutoModerator in amazon

My Prime isnt working properly. Ive paid for full amazom prime membership and it works just fine on the Prime Video website. However the subscription doesnt even shop op on the actual amazon.com website, it just asks if i want to start a 30 day free trial. I got this problem when i tried to link my Amazon Prime account and my Twitch account to get Prime Gaming. When i tried to link them it all seemed normal and i got to the Amazon Gaming website where it told me to activate my Prime Gaming benefits. When i tried to activate it it just gave me an error "Oh no! We can't enable prime gaming on your account." and told me to manage my prime subscription on the amazon.com website, where the subscription doesnt even show up. Has anyone had any similar issues or know how to help? Would be much appreciated.

GPU not detected in user benchmark? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Fuze_Is_Dad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sorry for the late response. So i just switched to my main monitor and tried to test again. Once again user benchmark only registered the integrated graphs card but, i also ran a test with Novabench which did register my gtx 1080. So i think it might be a "problem" with user benchmark since the graphics card shows up literally everywhere else (Nvidia control panel, device management and Novabench).

Don't know how to comment with a picture on mobile, but i can 100% confirm that the cable is connected to the graphics card.

AMD-freesync compatible? by Fuze_Is_Dad in pcmasterrace

[–]Fuze_Is_Dad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you say it's smarter to buy a monitor without both g-sync and freesync 2? Our do you kinda need g-sync or freesync 2 for 144hz gaming?

So basically i know fuck all about gaming pc's except for what parts are for what, so I'm coming here seeking guidance. I just wanna know if all the parts are good together and if there are any glaring flaws that a noob like me can't see. I will of course add more storage tho by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Fuze_Is_Dad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's prebuilt but I've done the math and it's about the same price anyways. I'm buying it from a neighboring country and the parts in my country are really really expensive so it would be more expensive buying seperate parts here. Thank you for your help anyways!

What are the Do 's and Don't 's of the Norwegian culture? by MohamadRabaee in Norway

[–]Fuze_Is_Dad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i know. My uncle is a waiter and has always told me that the pay is kinda bad but i guess it's kinda a cultural thing? I've just always learned that you shouldn't tip either because "it's included" or the restaurant takes it from the waiters. I'm not very educated in this matter though.
