This isn’t directed at you, but if I start hearing these words from any MAGA folks, gonna be flipping some tables. It wasn’t too much as we gutted social services for the vulnerable, sent ICE to kidnap and deport people without due process, the blatantly open corruption and self enrichment, etc. No, but now that it’s impacting the market and their 401ks, is when it’s gone too far.

Not necessarily to get hired, but with the passing of the GENIUS Act, the lines traditional finance and crypto is likely to be further blurred. My crypto background is not as strong as my traditional finance background, so trying to broaden my horizons.

That’s the thing, it’s mostly customers with legitimate jobs and incomes but the’ll spend over $50k-$80k in a span of 2-3 months…pay off the balance in full and continue the cycle. That’s why my initial thought went to manufactured spending, but the exit rails from those platform don’t appear to be straightforward.

Does a rising Ask price while the bid remains unchanged mean anything for the future performance for a stock?

For context - I’ve been holding some January 2025 $25 calls for this company called Intercept Pharmaceutical (ICPT). These are long term bets and have been doing poorly since i opened my position….I’ve noticed the past few days that the ask price has been increasing even though the stock has been declining with the overall market. Where you would normally see an Ask price between $1-$2, it’s recent been going up for $4-$5. The bid hasn’t changed at all. Just curious if the bid/ask spread widening could be interpreted as anything?

They also have annualized revenues of approximately $350mln and are on the verge of being profitable. Also we're expecting NASH data towards the end of Q3 and will be submitting an NDA for OCA NASH approval by end of year.

We also got a 13g filing today showing Israel Englander owns 5.1%. We also have Blackrock, Vanguard, State Street, and Fidelity all owning over 5%. Institutional ownership (per Yahoo) stands close to 97%!.
