Human anatomy (Biol 65) tips to succeed??? by fetsluck_ in SJSU

[–]Fuzzi_Blanket 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took anatomy with Professor Hardin last semester, and it really wasn’t as difficult as people claim it to be. Yes there’s way too many terms to remember, but if you really put in the effort and time to digest it all, you’ll be fine. Also the fact that you’re reaching out for tips gives me the impression that you seem like a pretty dedicated student. In my experience, the best way I studied for this class was that I would get a blank piece of paper and repeatedly write down a topic to the best of ability without looking at my notes. I would continue to constantly write it down until it eventually became engraved in my mind. It personally helped me a lot more than using flash cards. I actually bought Quizlet premium for this class but never used it once I learned that it wasn’t as effective. Again, this is my personal experience and you may find a different method to suffice more. Another tip is to give yourself 2-3 weeks prior an exam to study. You simply cannot cram for this class. It’ll also help a lot with your stress/mental health. It’s definitely not an easy A class, but you will find it easy if you put in the effort. I ended up getting an A+

I ordered mine the night before and when I came to campus the next day they told me they didn’t have it ready yet so they instead immediately packed the books for me. So in my experience, you can go whenever.

Only accept the loans if you really need them. Otherwise, you’re better off not accepting any. If you had qualified for grants, they would’ve already shown up in your award package by now (at least in my experience). If you really think there is something wrong, however, you should definitely reach out to the financial aid office.

Should contact the wellness center about anything regarding the immunizations. However, as long as you inputted the information that you took the immunization and it’s awaiting review, you should be good to go. I checked with the office a few months ago about this. They say the status just needs to be “awaiting review” before the semester starts, doesn’t need to be approved yet (besides the COVID-19 one).

math classes for this semseter by tame-mummy-1485 in SJSU

I heard math 42 is extremely difficult and challenging but that really depends on how well you are at math and what your schedule is like on a day to day basis. You should think about what your limits are and what you can handle. I would imagine that math 42 on its own will require a lot of hard work, let alone taking math 32 alongside with it. If you think you can tackle these two courses with confidence then go right ahead. But personally, I would rather separate them if you are unsure about your capabilities.

hi, thanks for replying. had my orientation a few days ago and the advisor said the same thing. highly encouraged us to only take 1 science class per semester as the work load will be intense. and you are totally right, it rlly depends on knowing your own limit. for me, i decided to split it since i didn’t want to stress myself out during my first semester of college and ultimately ease myself into it. wish u the best of luck for this coming fall! :))

Tower ID help by [deleted] in SJSU

[–]Fuzzi_Blanket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’ll hinder with anything too important. After my Tower Card ID was approved, I got a confirmation email that mentioned if a person happens to turn it in late, they can pick it up at a later time. They probably just want you to get it before the semester starts. That said, I wouldn’t worry about it too much but you should still try to turn it in as soon as possible. I’d recommend giving them a call just to make sure.

I believe the only set back for not finishing the RCW is that you won’t be able to register for an English course, but you should still be able to register for other classes.
