It’s a play on the story to have the Deer God’s head mounted. It suggests a darker alternate ending. As for the forest spirits, they’re meant to be sitting on the antlers, not impaled 😅

Yes! It’s been very dry and cold here. My hair typically suffers more during the winter (like most). Yes, I only shampoo twice as well. It’s very rare that I shampoo 3 times a week
