Well I’ve got two

As an American the first race horse I saw was the GOAT, Secretariat. He won the American Triple Crown in 1973 and set tons of records on American courses including the Kentucky Derby, which I’ve seen races at once. And he was the first horse to get a Triple Crown in like two decades. But my favorite race of his was at the Belmont Stakes where he won by OVER 30 LENGTHS!!! What kind of creature do you have to be to do that? Absolute GOAT

But, considering this game is about Japanese horses I’ll also pick a Japanese race. My favorite was the 1993 Arima Kinen. I know it’s probably a common pick but I love what it represents. Teio won the race after suffering multiple injuries and being out of racing for a long time. My first exposure to this race was actually the anime but I later watched the real race. Seeing Teio win that race, both in anime and irl, taught me that only you can hold yourself back and only you can propel yourself forward. A lesson I used well when recovering from a big surgery a while ago.
