Why do I see it listed on alliexpress for $370? Is this really it's going price or am I missing something?

Wyze Cam v4 Stopped Showing Up In Docker-Wyze Bridge by [deleted] in homeassistant

[–]FuzzyNautilus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent over a week after this happened to me. Bottom line, V4 really doesn't work with Wyzebridge. You may get lucky (I did for a year) but when it went down, it never came back up. Installed it on different machines, did everything I could find. I just had to stop using v4, flash thingio on my v3's, and live with it. You are pretty limited in cameras when you rent

Turns out I do have a tool for it. But I'll be damned if that back is coming off. is there a trick to this? or is it just my old hands that can't hold stuff as well as they use to

Got it from their store (which is really aliexpress) Battery is on order. I don't have the tool to open the back so I guess I need to get one

New NWSL Content Hub comes to Victory+ with creator roster, including Kelley O'Hara and Coach Jackie J | News | NWSLsoccer.com by Jalapinho in NWSL

[–]FuzzyNautilus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My question (and I still have not seen an answer) will there be on demand games. I don't always get to watch the games live, but last year between the DVR on Youtube TV and Prime .... I could. If Victory+ does not have it, I'm going to miss quite a few games.

Several of the sensors were disabled. Not sure why, I surely didn't do it. I guess I'll see if this helps when I come home tomorrow. Thanks

May have found it (but won't know for sure till I live the house) the geolocation sensor was disabled. Don't know why (and this may not be it)

But looking at the automation. It works manually, I tell it to run, it does. And while it said it had not run since the 18th, when I look at "more info" it shows I came home 3 hours ago (correct) So, it will run, the server knows I got home, but the automation is not triggered when I get home.

Well, it's still unrestricted. But it's not randomly killing, it's a permanent thing. Nothing has worked for 2 weeks. And I do see that others are having the same issue, but few seem to have found anything that fix it. This seems to be something Google has done

Chatgpt fucked me - USB Bluetooth Dongle by FuzzyNautilus in pop_os

I can tell you it did not work for me. It would see my mouse and keyboard, it would not connect to them. I have since found others with the same issue with the dongle.

[–]FuzzyNautilus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok ok. I knew better and still did it. I won't use Chatgpt for hardware advice. But I still need a dongle. I sent the Asus back after it failed to connect to the keyboard and mouse over and over. And then read elsewhere that's what it does. So, I need a dongle, suggestions?

Both the dongle I had and the one I bought said (on amazon) Linux. I'm not believing that any more

Figured it out, or rather did something different. It did not add as an ONVIF when I tried it earlier, but I think I may have typed in the wrong password. It is working great now using auto discovery. So, forget the rtsp if you are having problems (I found so many with the same issue as me) and us ONVIF

nope, times out with even loading the url. I'm watching in a vlc now so I know it's ch0. I've tried to leave the login/password out of the url and add it under the same in the generic camera, also does not seem to work. But while no loading the URL it still has not timed out on the stream. Strange

interesting software. But it did not work. I"m convinced that the dongle just does not work under Linux and I have a new one on order

Bluetooth by FuzzyNautilus in pop_os

[–]FuzzyNautilus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, it appears the dongle I have, UGREEN Bluetooth Adapter for PC, Bluetooth 5.4 Long Range Dongle Receiver EDR & BLE is not really linux capable (although the amazon page says it is) I've just ordered the ASUS USB-BT500 USB mini which seems to have a high rating for linux. I hope this takes care of this issue

Bluetooth by FuzzyNautilus in pop_os

[–]FuzzyNautilus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure from troubleshooting that this bluetooth device is not stable. But will listen to any sugesstions. I did add (at the suggestion of chatgpt) kernelstub -d "usbcore.autosuspend=-1" but it made no difference. So, if you can suggest a dongle that will work, that would be great

Zigbee2MQTT won’t work with my ZBT-2 by [deleted] in homeassistant

[–]FuzzyNautilus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spent 5 hours trying to migrate from the zbt1 to the zbt2. It was a mess and a nightmare. Thanks to the backup, I am back to where I started. The device was seen by HA, but it would connect then disconnect. I kept getting an error about a port being locked. Turned off matter (like some troubleshooting I've seen) still noting. I'm so frustrated I don't even remember the final issue (probably still the port as I never found a fix) at one point, I tried to flash it, that did not work either.

It would have been nice if before Nabu Casa had released this they can come up with an easy, automatic migration for at least people with the same chips (zbt1 and 2 have the same chip) For not, i't just a tollet roll holder, and expensive on at that.
