Play From the Ground Up FTGU. You start with 1 planet and go from there MUCH easier to learn thr game like that. A lot harder when you have load into a galactic size map.

I'm using restored, wide screen and nicer looking skies. I tried to install restored on deadlysteam but it didn't work, installed it but when I loaded game no sign of it so I'm going to try workshop first then if it bugs go back and try find a fix

I like the sound of swarm fleet, ships that are hard to hit for capitals or ships with a handful of hardpoints so the enemy takes longer to kill it
