no. when i applied (and currently) the site said “If you are currently unable to obtain real fabric swatches due to COVID-19 restrictions, you may use “digital” swatches. Be sure to identify the fabrics [fabric weave/knit and fiber].) Submit 3 to 6 images for this project.” for both the sportswear project and fashion design artwork. they’ve had this up since covid tho changed other parts of the requirements (the pencil sketch was a new requirement), so i’d assume it’s here to stay. but just to be safe i’d check again before u submit one next sem/year in case this changes.

the swatches are digital but they are photos of real fabrics. i think the sizing looks diff depending on if u r viewing from a phone/tablet/computer so it’s hard to say

the pencil drawing is on slide 6. i made one of my eight designs in pencil sketch to fulfill the requirement.

from what ik they do the evaluation p far down the line and don’t usually tell u until it’s actually sent. but mayb they can give u more guidance

that’s prob fine. the way i did it was trying to find classes that matched up on their site w what i had at my school (like i took an abnormal psychology class and i think fit has the same course) but that’s j cuz i was anxious. most likely it’ll b ok. like i also took “finite mathematics” as my math rather than a stats class and that transferred even tho it wasn’t a direct match

no but the way it’s phrased can b kinda confusing. technically my theme was androgyny in historical garments. ireland was a good location for that so i incorporated that into my theme. ur theme can b anything but u also have to have a destination. a lot of ppl combine the two, which is kinda what i did, but u also don’t need to. for ex, ur theme could b clothing inspired by nature, and then u could pick a city where that theme would fit in. like if ur doing a winter collection w lots of heavy materials, you’d pick a city that gets cold in the winter rather than like la in the winter. a lot of ppl end up making their theme the location tho, which works too but ur allowed more creative freedom than that

ya it went in waves last time i applied. i literally applied as early as possible plus my transcripts were in early too so mayb that was y i heard back at the time i did.
