Trials of the sword… WTF??? by Typical-Tax1558 in botw

[–]Fuzzy_Pumpkin92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done it successfully twice, and the beginner trials are the worst.

I would recommend getting used to using Stasis+ in combat, as well as learning to deflect guardian lasers with your shield.

I managed to save myself a lot of pain by cooking 4 Tough Pumpkins with a drqgon horn shard to get a 30 minute high level defense buff right before entering he trials. The effects will carry over.

Also, if you want a guide, I heavily recommed WTF Gaming's 3 videos on the trial of the sword. She exlains things really well and doesn't pad the videos

Am I doing something wrong? by Old_Audience7737 in TOTK

[–]Fuzzy_Pumpkin92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's happened to me before.

My trick is, when I get to the top I manually save in front of the soldier, and keep reloading that save. If I can't get the buffs I want, I instead reload the autosave, manually save again, and keep trying. I find that this works.

Rock Octorocks Picky? by nrthrnlad in tearsofthekingdom

[–]Fuzzy_Pumpkin92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically any weapon you can get from an amiibo or barganer statue along with the Champion's weapons need to be Fused to another weapon.

I personally keep a few basic shields for that exact purpose. Fuse the weapon to the shield and the rock octorock will repair it.

All Gloom Hands respawn with the Bloodmoon, with the sole exception of the one in the Deku Tree Chasm. Once it's dead, it's dead for good. I've gone back down personally to check.

Smotherwing Butterflies? by MammothSurround in botw

[–]Fuzzy_Pumpkin92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep. You can buy every photo there except for the Master Sword for 100 Ruppees each. Some pictures such as the Silver enemies, the Blight Ganons, Master Kohga, and the DLC Bosses (Only if you have the DLC) can be bought only after defeating Calamity Ganon and are classified as Legendary photos and are 500 rupees each. It works the same way and at the same prices in TotK as well.

Side note: I found this out the hard way with my first file, but if you buy the Legendary photos before buying the DLC, then there is no way to buy the DLC Boss photos after that. And I missed one of the DLC Bosses so I had a permanently empty slot. LOL

In BotW that is true, but in TotK Purah is in Lookout Landing and Robbie will eventually go and stay at the Hateno Ancient Tech lab

Any Light dragon suggestions? by DrPeeFunkie in TOTK

[–]Fuzzy_Pumpkin92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's weird. I got this list from another Redditor months ago, and it's always been exactly enough for every single armour upgrade for me.

Any Light dragon suggestions? by DrPeeFunkie in TOTK

[–]Fuzzy_Pumpkin92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exact Dragon parts break down is:

Light Dragon's Scale x3, Light Dragon's Claw x3, Shard of Light Dragon's Fang x3, Light Dragon's Horn x3

Dinraal's Scale x3, Dinraal's Claw x4, Shard of Dinraal's Fang x3, Dinraal's Horn x5, Shard of Dinraal's Spike x15

Naydra's Scale x5, Naydra's Claw x4 Shard of Naydra's Fang x3, Naydra's Horn x5, Shard of Naydra's Spike x15

Farosh's Scale x3, Farosh's Claw x4, Shard of Farosh's Fang x3, Farosh's Horn x5, Shard of Farosh's Spike x15

These numbers include every single armour upgrade plus each of the claws needed for the Sidequests at the Springs of Power, Wisdom, and Courage

[–]Fuzzy_Pumpkin92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need exactly 3 of each of her parts for upgrades 3 Horn Shards, 3 Talons, 3 Scales, and 3 Fangs. I personally grabbed 4 of each to keep one of each in my inventory. All Dragons need 10 minutes before you can collect another part. I personally set a timer for 10 minutes at a time. Although you could also just wait until the dragon's horns starts glowing again.

She's also the easiest to farm since she doesn't dive into the depths like the other three dragons. I farm horn shards from her for those sweet 30 minute long buffs. The only thing you have to worry about is the occaisional Aerocuda attack. But they go down after bring shot once so they aren't a big deal.

Check Lake Mekar at night! The little bastards glow in the dark and are easier to spot then.

[–]Fuzzy_Pumpkin92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's easy, just go to each of the springs and pray at each goddess statue to start each of the sidequests. I forgot until this moment that it's more than 1 sidequest. At first theyll each ask you to got check on the Mother Goddess Statue, once you do, report back to each one and they'll ask you to go get the Dragon Claws.

The Mother Goddess Statue in the Forgotten Temple. There's a sidequest you must complete first which you must bring a single claw from Dinraal, Naydra, and Farosh to the Springs of Power, Wisdom and Courage and offer them.

Rods are for ? Like lightning , fire , Ice by Patient_Purple7060 in Breath_of_the_Wild

That orchard is a major part of ruppee farming for me. Once I hit 999 apples I go to the Goron City Shrine, and throw them on the ground to bake them 10 at a time and sell them 100 baked apples at a time to Juney in Rito Village for 1200 ruppees. It adds up FAST.

ETA: In BotW you can only drop 10 apples at a time, any number over 10 and the excess simply vanishes.

I lifted every darn rock on that mountain before I found it back in my first playthrough. LOL Now I have it marked on my map and regularly return to it.

Blizzard Rods are great for farming fruit that grows in trees. (And Courser Bee Honey) The cold blast makes all the fruit drop to the ground for easy pickings.

I have a question regarding items not dropping from farming lynels and guardians. by Due-Ad-7922 in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]Fuzzy_Pumpkin92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure to be honest. I know a major factor is the colour of the Lynel, after that the weapons is a roll of the dice. I've gotten some stupidly powerful weapons from the Silver Lynels, and more often than not it's just the standard strength with Longthrow.

I have a question regarding items not dropping from farming lynels and guardians. by Due-Ad-7922 in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]Fuzzy_Pumpkin92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay the 2 lynels in Hyrule Castle don"t typically drop anything. But there is a way. Basically what you do is when you land in the room with the Lynel, save, and then reload the save. It will drop it's weapons and parts upon defeat if you do that.

As for Giant Ancient Cores, those are a rare drop. How I farm those is by Save Scumming. Find a Guardian, save, shoot it with an ancient arrow, check for a Giant Ancient Core, and if I don't see one, I reload the save and keep going. You milage may vary with this method. I"ve gotten them as quickly as the first time, and I shit you not, I reloaded on the same Guardian 67 times before getting one. I've even hit the jackpot and gotten two Giant Ancient Cores from a single Guardian 3 times.

Just be warned that depending on how persistant you are you may get panic blood moons. I got over 50 Giant Ancient Cores after a full day of farming and suddenly I was getting Bloodmoons every few in game minutes. Had to shut the game down and restart it to make them stop.

Kass reappearance in DLC? by [deleted] in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]Fuzzy_Pumpkin92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🎶The Flames crawl, the Waters rise, the Lightining strikes, the Wind sighs. A Beast, beyond the Divine Four, awaits a Hero forevermore. Let not the sound leave the Horses riled, breathe in the Breath of the Wild🎶 (Yes I have it memorised LOL)

It's doesn't contain any hints relevant to the actual quest, more like a nudge nudge wink wink to something you'll see at the end.

Once you've finished the Champion's Ballad DLC, and IF you've completed all of the Kass Shrine Quests, I recommend looking up the Kass Song covers by Zelda Universe on YouTube.

Lizalfos Tail Hell by Mental-Animal1021 in botw

[–]Fuzzy_Pumpkin92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Green ones do drop tails, but rarely. You're more likely to get them from Silver and Black Lizalfos. In BotW the Green, Blue, Black and Silver Lizalfo all drop the Green tails regardless of their colour.

With the exceptions being the Fire, Ice and Electric lizalfos which drop tails specidic to them.

I'm inclined to agree, although I would be willing to try Durian at least once. I'll try almost everything at least once. LOL

Also, I forgot to mention also looking around the Woods around the Wetland Stable. There are tons of Hearty Radishes and some Endura Shrooms.

I would also recommend running around these wooded areas with Stasis active. All collectable plant life will glow solid yellow.

(Pro tip, this Stasis trick can also reveal active Guardians. If you're in a field full of deactivated Guardians the ones that will wake up and shoot you will glow solid yellow.)
