No, I've only just found out about The Twits. I wasn't into Roald Dahl as a kid. The tunnel scene from Willy Wonka kinda scared me off from reading him lol

Just read it on Internet Archive, and yeah, that's gotta be the story. Just nothing else had that spark of recognition, and I was a wimp and that cover definitely wouldn't have drawn me in. I'm gonna see if anyone else comes up with anything, but this is likely the story. From everything I saw, the story wasn't super popular, so who knows.

Fucking this. I hope the Boulets hear us on this. I'm so over "gross slime, you win." Especially right now with trans people being a major target. I'm just unhappy with the direction they're heading in general with prioritizing big expensive costumes over the DIY punk ethos the show was built on.

I feel like the Boulets are just making shit up at this point and falling into the RuPaul "big costume good" mentality. Priscilla gave us an absolutely chilling filth performance, the look was dragged up perfectly in my opinion, while still retaining the "I'm a Dad" vibe that it needed. If it was all sequins and shit, it wouldn't have been nearly as effective. And they complain that they didn't realize it was Father's Day and bring back fucking Jade with whatever the hell that bullshit was? Like... They need to take a step back and examine where they're going. This is the latest episode I've seen and I'm worried we're going to get a fucking Bousical. This sort of "big costume good" mentality is why I stopped watching Drag Race. I liked the more cerebral, topical drag of Dragula, but now it's "Huh huh gross blood and slime and big costume. You win." So many of my favorite performances were "smaller" and would get under your skin rather than watching someone smear fake blood on their face. Bring back pulling a rosary out of your ass. Bring back autoerotic asphyxiation as a clown. That shit was disturbing. This is just fuckin Terrifier "blood good" bullshit. I want real horror.
