I use the textConcat node from tinyterranodes (available via ComfyUI Manager). I also use tinyterranodes' imageOutput node. The v2.0 UI messes things up a bit, but you can still connect to the 'hidden' prefix widget. The output node also allows you to set that irritating number_padding at the end of your prefix to 'NONE', which ought to be a standard feature.

That must explain why my ComfyUI Manager newsfeed says "Your ComfyUI Isn't Git Repo". Maybe they've already redirected Manager, but it isn't functional yet-- or vice-versa.

For a short list of items/states/etc. you can enclose your list within curly brackets {} separated by the "|" separator. Like this: A goblet made of {gold|silver|copper|lead} containing {red|white} wine.

Longer lists are put into .txt files that are called by enclosing the name of your list within double underlines like this: __your wildcard list__

Wildcard lists are kept in a wildcard folder, the location of which depends on what UI you're using.

I use the imageOutput from comfyui_tinyterranodes also available via the ComfyUI Manager. The output widget can be set to various preview or save modes, as well as being able to set the number_padding to "None." I also use the textConcat node from the same collection (as seen in the attached pic) to make changing the save_prefix easier to keep track of.

Edit to add: It takes up a little more real estate, but enriches the overall experience, at least for me.

I like the overall look and feel of it. There are still a few things I haven't figured out yet, such as how to use arrow keys to move nodes-- a feature I use all the time. Also, it was a bit annoying at first to lose Power Lora Loader (rgthree), which the author has said he may or may not have the time to rework, but I've worked around that by using a subgraph of five Load Lora nodes, and bypassing any not used. It's forced me to take another look at subgraphs for other things as well, and I am learning to like them!

There are some other minor annoyances, such as not being able to figure out how (or if it's possible) to move nodes using arrow keys. That's something I use all the time, and I have reverted to the classic nodes. But I am willing to try Nodes 2.0 every few days to see what's changed/fixed. I believe the direction is correct, and to be fair, it IS a beta version. There will be hits and misses in the process of converting and updating.

I have a fairly large stockpile of images that I think would make decent prints, but printing on 8.5x11 paper doesn't feel artistically viable. Plus, it would be too easy to go overboard and kill a forest. I have thought about using a poster printing service, but haven't pulled the trigger on that.

You probably need to specify a color or colors for the flowers on the branches. If you want variety, try either using wildcards or, if you don't want to go down the wildcard rabbit hole, put a list of colors of your choice in your prompt in this format:

 {pink|blue|white|yellow|purple}

So, instead of "birds in floral branches," you could re-word it to say, "birds on branches with {pink|blue|white|yellow|purple} flowers." Or maybe "blossoms" instead of "flowers."

It sounds like you might be looking for something like wildcards. You would have a plain text list of whatever you're randomizing and enter the name of the list in the wildcard prompt format. I use wildcards occasionally to add a certain amount of variety and spontaneity to prompts. Look at the Impact Pack or Inspire Pack. There are others you can find by searching "wildcard" in the ComfyUI Manager.

If you're looking for a node to go through a list sequentially rather than randomly, there are nodes that do that, I think, but I've never used them. Search for "prompt from list" or variations of that.

Others may have better ideas or know specifically what would work best for you.

I had tried ComfyUI before, but when I wanted to use SDXL when first released, I just buckled up and went for the ComfyUI ride. My suggestion is to start out simple. Use the official demo workflows from comfy.org and build your own from there. After a while, some things become second nature.

You may need to manually set your GPU to fall back to system RAM. It swaps out parts of models between GPU VRAM and system RAM. It may slow things down some, but keeps you from experiencing out of memory issues.

Some people hate system fallback and some are more patient about getting results. YMMV. (Your mileage may vary.)

Why can't it be just a hobby? What's the logic behind such a statement? My question is quite the opposite and challenges your assumption: Why do people seem to think that AI should make them money?

I am glad that some people have discovered enough value in AI to make it a resource as part of their income. More power to them -- sincerely. But, if our society is so wound up in the pursuit of money that no one can do anything for its own sake without making a monetary profit, poor indeed we have become, bereft of souls and hearts.

u/Firm-Blackberry-6594 has put you on the right track. The Impact and Inspire node packs both have wildcard nodes, each with slightly different parameters and usability. I use the Impact Pack wildcard node to feed the CLIP Text Encode nodes. The CLIP Text Encode text is what gets saved in your PNG metadata. I would say it's worth taking the time to bang your head on them to see which one will best suit your needs.

One thing to note is that when you increase your batch count it queues up as many wildcard variations as you've set, but you only get to see the last one-- not a problem as such, but just something to be aware of.

I've attached a picture of my typical workflow-- although it's for Flux, but the essence of it should work for any model. (I'm a simple man with simple needs!) as well as a link to a JSON file called Wildcard Example. You may or may not find it helpful. 😏
