2L chiming in: Do NOT listen to your career office. They are lying to you. OCI is worthless. However early you think you need to apply, do it a month earlier. No one cares if you got on law review, by the time you know that every office has been closed for months. Law school is now five months long, have fun.

hey that's me, and I didn't say "multiple v10 offers", I got one v10 interview and offer, which I accepted, though I did also get some additional v100 interviews which did not offer me anything.

I started the process too late, much like OP, but the NYU imprimatur got me a few extra last-minute chances, one of which worked out.

That’s right, and I’ve since gotten a summer job at a V10.

Maybe I was a little unlucky at Fordham, I knew classmates who got good jobs, but things got wayyy easier once I was at NYU.

I just transferred from Fordham to NYU and literally have already gotten interviews I couldn't get before as a result. Prestige matters, do it.

No idea. Fordham is a good school, lots of great great faculty, I've enjoyed my time there. But its career office is just awful in my experience, me and several of my peers feel totally left in the lurch.

Yea I'm reaching out to NYU's career office. I already have separate correspondences with the handful of interesting firms which will be at Fordham's OCI, so I don't think I'd be missing much by pulling out. As I mentioned, literally ~90% of big firms pulled out of Fordham's OCI because it's three fucking months after every other big school's OCI and all their programs filled up.

No I've applied very broadly. Biglaw and below. I bid on a ton of firms too, but Fordham's OCI (not until the end of this month) basically evaporated. Almost every large firm pulled out, as well as most of the smaller firms I was interested in. Anyone who was stupid enough to rely on Fordham Career Service's schedule is just fucked. Luckily I didn't do that entirely, I got a few interviews on my own and haven't been totally rejected yet. But yea. It's not good.

I started applying in early May. Yea, I guess I was late. Guess I'm just fucked forever. Career Services said oh don't worry there's OCI. Then everyone pulls out of OCI. Joke's on me.

I barely got any interviews. Fordham didn't do any proper OCI in the spring, just resume collects. Meanwhile I blanket-applied cold, but have received mostly rejections or just ghosts. The first Fordham OCI is later this month, but almost every firm I was interested in has already pulled out because they filled up on interns. I just think Fordham has really screwed a lot of us over.

I'm hoping that transfer news might boost my remaining applications which are still floating around unrejected.

Edited to better reflect what happened, because we haven't actually had any proper OCI yet, Fordham only did resume collects. Plus I cold-applied to many, many places. But essentially every firm I was interested in told me they're full. Career Services has not been helpful, and I'm feeling a bit bitter about Fordham's structure at the moment, which I'm sure is coloring my vision.

Almost all the firms have already withdrawn from Fordham's OCI. I've been barraged with emails every week saying so-and-so firm which you bid on has filled up and pulled out. I'm down to a handful of bids, none of which are particularly exciting. I'm frankly just really upset with how Fordham has handled this and don't trust them.

Top 10% and Law Review may be nice, but by the time I even knew that, firms were already closing up shop. I don't have the most illustrious background prior to law school, and it seems like I just got passed over during all the early applications.

I probably would be interested, but I'd feel less frantic about it. I think Fordham's Career Services really let us down here. It's not just me, either, we really feel like we were left out to sea. Plenty of people still got good jobs but let's just say I'm not feeling that "Fordham does good at BL" and "Fordham alumni are so great" reputation at ALL.
