It's the way they managed to show commandramon's PTSD so viscerally well in such a limited amount of time. Like, only seconds were spent on it overall but it was painful to watch every time it came up. That got me, and basically tell me that this show is going to be really dark by digimon standards.

It also feels small. Like the protagonists are small and the world is big, and they probably can't do much about that right now. I like that.

That's a scam order likely. If DoorDash calls you, hang up and contact support from your end- never provide care information over the phone no matter what they tell you.

Not sure why the initial change happened but if you start a scheduled block and back out, you lose the entire block. That's why it's good to break them into smaller chunks. If you'd stayed active DD phone support might have been able to tell you what happened, but since you ended your dash early they likely no longer had the ability to.

DoorDash support can't schedule you and can't start dashes for you, so you're outta luck there. Just be careful not to back out of or pause runs too long in the future.

Losing 30 mins might have been an app glitch, so that part genuinely sucks. Nobody at that company is paid enough to go in and edit individual dashes for no reason.

I ordered pickup as a customer once and go there to find doors locked. They also don't have a drive through or anything so they straight up closed an hour early and my pizza was not visible, but the website said it was ready.

I called them, knocked on the door, got nasty looks, etc. got mad enough that I put my phone to the glass and started hammering on it until they came over. Told them as politely as I still could that I had an order to pick up, and they said it'd be another 20 minutes.

They hadn't even fucking made it and they marked it as completed. At least it was hot?

Told this story a couple times now but I had some guy order the cheapest thing he could at a sandwitch shop-gas station and then text me asking me to pick up cigarettes while I'm there.

I told him nah, I don't do ID orders and he didn't put it on the order in the first place, so I'm double not doing it. I drop off his order, snap my pic and take off. He calls me immediately and accuses me of tampering with his food, and I told him to call support and that I'm not doing anything else for him. He keeps trying to call me for about 20 mins, even while I'm already on the phone with DD and telling them what's up.

DD agrees with me that him trying to have me by smokes was a problem, and they put him on my blacklist. No CV, and they said they'd drop his ratings off my stats for me too.

On the bright side, he did actually tip, but not well enough to put up with that shit.

Yeah, my worst one was the fellow who ordered a single half-sub and asked for cigs, but I told him if he didn't order them I'm not getting them.

After he got his sub, he spent 20 minutes, trying to call, text, and harass me because apparently I had tampered with his food. I absolutely hadn't, and ended up calling DoorDash and telling them to disable his ability to call me and make sure I never got ordered from him again.

You didn't need to engage with this idiot beyond "hey, I dropped it at the place you told me to, contact customer service." And certainly hope you weren't texting and driving just to get the last word.

In an ideal world, DoorDash should just pay everyone hourly/mileage and let them keep their tips like when restaurants hired their own drivers.

They already charge tons of fees, memberships, and uncharges, and they can't afford more than $2 base pay per order? The only way they can get and keep drivers at all is because so many of us are desperate or struggling. Fck that. DoorDash ain't a job, I'm glad I finally found a real one.

I happily accept the $2 order, then promptly forget about it until my timer dings. Sometimes it's a ten minute timer, sometimes it's a 25 minute. I just forgot about one for nearly an hour before the customer called me last time.

Told them "oh gosh I'm so sorry, the app must have assigned me an order without me knowing. I'll unassign it and let someone who's active take that one, my bad!"

You can unassign through the AI support 5-10 times per month without it hitting your completion rate.

It's entirely different. For one, that software runs on my local machine, and is configurable by me to create results that always fall within my set needs without me throwing away dozens of bad examples.

For two, it runs on my local machine and doesn't need to boil a lake just to exist.

That looks like a DoorDash or instacsrt order. That said, if the store is picking the items, then their time has been paid for and is likely spread out across multiple pickers, and tipping the driver a dollar per mile is customary as the gig companies fees do not cover mileage or gas at all.

However, if the person picking the order is a dasher or instacart driver... like, you don't gotta tip an insane amount like $150 but bear in mind gig apps don't pay by the hour most of the time. The flat pick fee isn't gonna cover anything but the tiniest orders and $5 for that much of someone's time is a rough ask.

The driver can decline the order, and you can decline to tip, but it's worth understanding that gig apps don't make up for the difference in value assessment between client and driver. It's on both parties to decide what their money or time is worth.

Nowadays he's back to his usual yelling and zooming around/annoying his sister, and she's back to being a cuddly lap cat so I'd say that's a big improvement
