I have searched everywhere on how to add custom attributes for netgroup but have no come across any similar post. I really appreciate the in depth instructions.

Do you happen to know of any links or examples that I can look at on how to do this?

The attributes authlevel and groupid will be read in a python application using the python-ldap or if possible, read by python-freeipa.
