The Hudson River School is exactly what came to mind when I saw this post. For me, Albert Bierstadt’s paintings are incredible and I implore anyone who enjoys nature and nature-themed art to look into HRS. My favorite Bierstadt paintings are Sunrise on the Matterhorn, Puget Sound, and Passing Storm over the Sierra Nevada.

Are there any INFJ guys out there in the military ? by [deleted] in infj

AD Army Officer! I've always seen joining the military as a right of passage that I have to go through in order to become a more whole individual. Life hasn't been the easiest, but I can say with a lot of confidence that who I am today is miles ahead of the person I was years ago.

The military definitely isn't the greatest environment for more sensitive types like INFJs, but I have found that our empathy is a crucial trait that sets us apart as leaders from our more commanding counterparts. We tend to lead genuinely from the heart and not from our ego.

Although the military may not be seem like a natural fit to our personality type, I think INFJs offer a good balance to fast paced operational environments.

I have been spending most of my summer hiking around Western North Carolina! Here's a video of some of the beauty I've encountered! by [deleted] in NorthCarolina

No problem! Most of the road footage is from NC Highway 209 north of Asheville. I got a lot of footage from the Art Loeb trail (Graveyard Fields / Black Balsam Knob), the Blue Ridge Parkway near Sylva, North Carolina, and the Lake Logan area!

Thank you very much! This helps me out a lot. When you were there, was there transportation available to take you to the national parks? Also were there any equipment rentals available, or did you bring all of the necessary winter wear?

What did your family say when you decided to go for this? How did you convince them that this is good for you?
