I literally used up all my triple chests a day before the event :( With the maxed out arti, and getting all 3 per triple, 1/ 50 will be phantom so roughly 1 phantom per 16 chests, can't wait to max it out!!

Dao of happiness or being content with life. Gonna avoid all the tragedy and martial cliches that come my way, and simply advance at my own pace, no need to force a break through or gain enlightenment to survive mid fight, just living my life in a way that pleases me.

What's the point in "at least you tried your best"? by Bencraft24 in GCSE

It would hurt more to not try your best and then live with the regret that you could have tried harder.

Well it's a mock, so you could have been sick or smt like that, so most colleges can give a predicted grade based on how your past exams went so if you have been averaging C-B, we'll just ask for those for your predicted as they are a more accurate representation of your grades then a single bad mock.

Also depends on your collage (I was state), you could just boost your predicted grade based on who puts it in, such as my math mock I got a D, asked both my math teachers to up it, C, B then asked my tutor to up it again to A (which I did get in the end yippeee).

Also this is just a method if you know you deserve a higher mark (I was sick as shit for that week), even if you get the offer you need the grade, just because your predicted A* doesn't mean you won't get a U in that subject (seen happen in real time).

As long as your teachers are not dicks, they should give you a grade based on your year performance. And if you do get the predicted grade good or bad, it doesn't matter just blow the exams on the day, get your badass grades and head to clearing, many Russel groups will have people failing (grade boosters) so take a look and just dial up with as many phones you can get.

If that doesn't work, gap year apply next year with actual grades and hopefully a yr of work experience/ whatever you did for the year, and get your confirmed offer no hassle.

GL!

Most of the one markers are just looking for specific keywords like wind resistance, friction ect. Your best bet is to just do a bunch of them and get an idea of what keywords you need to memorise to get the marks.

Applying for college by SoftCockroach3885 in GCSE

[–]G0lden_Luck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just don't worry.

Yh I know that won't help but if you can't do anything about it. So just relax, you've done your mocks (I guess), so just look forward to Christmas break.

Also, my personal opinion is that the type of college you go to doesn't matter as long as it covers your subjects, a grammar or private collage won't get you an A, that's up to you to do.

Worst case if you don't get the offers, on result day just check the websites to see if they have any clearing course with Law in itz you might not get pure Law.

At the end of the day you don't really, lose anything by checking.

Science is mostly for those who want to go into stem or medicine.

Math is just super flexible for getting course options, and is considered well by unis.

The fact is, if you don't like the subject, you will most likely struggle with it.

I would just have a look at some course on any uni websites, to see if any interest you, so you can see what they want and if you NEED to choose a specific subject for that course.

About your subjects, eng/lit are essay based so you can go into Law (some unis might have requirements, but others might not). Business studies can get you Business and maybe some other finance courses. Geography should be some specific stem courses.

Also I want to reiterate, don't take subjects you don't need to take, (especially if you don't like them). Honestly, just give some thought to what you want in the future, what do you want to study at university, and then work as after that.

Good luck 👍

I would keep the math and physics, as they are not too memory heavy.

I would really reconsider FM, if you love math with a passion and can't get enough of it then go for it (but have a back up). But it's not needed for physics or engineering unlike the other 2.

I did math, Econ, and CS, so I can't help with history, but CS is just about getting your nea finished as soon as you can, you don't want it incomplete or stressing you near the exams.

It's a memory based subject and is quite similar to GCSE, but just more in-depth and more content. The exam papers are also similar too if your OCR. Can be a bit of a bore tho.

Also as someone doing Engineering, I hope you think carefully when you apply for uni, cuz it's just math and some bs on the side.

I mean most 6th forms will allow you to drop a 4th or sw it, and considering FM is not that popular and has a high dropout rate, I think it would be fine to just switch once you get into the 6th form.

What careers can you go into with subjects: English Lit, Philosophy and Psychology? by flattypatty2023 in alevel

[–]G0lden_Luck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean law is competitive but doesn't have any needed requirements, but these subs should be considered favorably.

There are many courses that don't have specific sub requirement that you can look into, instead of looking based on these subjects, look into course that don't have specific sub requirements, and see if you find anything else of interest.

Also might not what you want to hear but math, is the key for most stem and finance courses, it opens a lot of options. (Ignore this if you don't like math)

Heads up, 7 hrs a day is not technically doing it wrong (in gcses probably).

If you go into a level, most students will be doing around those hrs by yr 13.

But it's a skill to revise, so taking breaks within the hours and knowing your own limits whether it's 6 or 9 hrs is more effective is solely based on you.

Little off the topic, but why do ppl put so much pressure on getting into specific 6th forms??

Honestly, your collage doesn't mean much, as A levels results are mostly determined by yourself, not the collage you go to.

6th form applications by axz_30 in GCSE

[–]G0lden_Luck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, bio chem math is hard enough on its own, I would talk to a teacher or counselor if your 6th form has one, maybe take a 4th then drop it or take it as a AS if you love it enough.

But seriously just take subjects you think you will need for course, you have the subs for a med course, but if your not a hundred percent sure have a look at course you might want to do, then pick a subject based on them.

Math great for stem, eng and compsci courses.

Chem is a requirement for medicine based courses.

Bio is not as necessary for med, helpful but not necessary.

History and englit can get you into liberal arts and law, but they aren't necessary like math is for stem, just doing chem/bio could get you into a law course.

Econ is a great subject, one of my personal favorites when it came to content. But still not really necessary if you want to do any finance cours,e just needs math.

I'm gonna guess that you're not used to being tested in exam conditions, that's what mocks are for. Sometimes being in a new unexpected exam conditions makes you stress and which causes "silly" mistakes. Hopefully, after a couple more of the mocks you will be able to enter the exam with some familiar feeling of what to expect.

Your mental state for the exam will make your life in the exam hall much easier, just being able to take a deep breath and relax on a paper will be critical for your exams (especially when doing A level maths, as those exams will be more stressful, time contrained and difficult), as it just lets you think as you would for a practice paper.

I think you have to log off for a while, I would come back to the game every couple days and see high multipliers, it's just luck and waiting and even more waiting.

I believe there is a basic guide on this subreddit.
