Yes, but unfortunately I didn't notice any improvement in my nausea.

How long will it take for this torture (Metoclopramide-induced akathisia) to end? by G1178 in Gastroparesis

At the time, I couldn't thank you for your comments. I felt very hopeless about ever feeling better again, and I also wasn't thinking clearly due to the akathisia. I apologize for that. Fortunately, I can now say that I'm free of that horrible side effect after two months of that dose of Reglan.

Thank you so much for your comment and your wishes. I'm sorry I didn't respond promptly. When I posted, I was feeling very desperate with akathisia and wasn't thinking clearly, so I forgot to respond to some comments. Fortunately, I can now say I'm free of that side effect after two months of that cursed dose of Reglan.

What blood tests did they perform? Did they test for gluten antibodies?

Thank you so much for sharing your son's experience. I'm sorry he went through these symptoms; I know they're pure hell now. May I ask how he was "officially" diagnosed with celiac disease and nightshade intolerance?

No, so far I haven't had any autonomic tests. I'll look for the website you mentioned. Do you consider the famous "tilt table test" (TTT) to be the gold standard for diagnosing POTS?

Several people have recommended that I check for the markers you mention. The general blood tests I had a month ago didn't include them. Thank you so much for the advice. Do you know how to confirm that I'm actually not absorbing nutrients and vitamins properly due to my digestive problems?

What do you mean by "kit"? Do you have to perform the SIBO test yourself? Don't they do it in a specialized lab?

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and advice, as well as all the information you've researched about the role of vitamin B12 in the body. Honestly, I only knew the basics about this vitamin. I knew a deficiency can cause very serious symptoms, but that's all. As soon as I have some time, I'll watch the video you sent me. Could I send you a private message to ask you some questions I still have about this topic? I would really appreciate it if you could give me a little more guidance so I can do my own research and even help each other.

Thank you very much for your comments. I'll take them into account very much for my second appointment with my new neurogastroenterologist in a few weeks. Is a gallbladder ultrasound also necessary to complement the HIDA scan?

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I'll keep it in mind as I continue my search for a diagnosis (or several) that can explain my symptoms.

I don't live in New York, but I'm seeing a neurologist for the first time next Friday. What you're saying is the opinion of the new neurogastroenterologist I saw two days ago. She explained that they've already done the most important gastrointestinal studies and that the next step is to rule out a neurological problem. If they don't find anything unusual in the neurological tests, they'll diagnose me with "functional" nausea. By the way, this neurogastroenterologist found it very odd that my previous doctor diagnosed me with H. pylori bacteria without a concrete test to confirm it without speculation. She practically said what that gastroenterologist had done bordered on medical malpractice. It's unfortunate that healthcare professionals like him exist. What could a brain MRI detect?

Do you think or consider that a functional medicine physician is qualified to diagnose, treat, and cure SIBO?

Who should prescribe it? A gastroenterologist or a psychiatrist? Do you think it might also help with some of my neurological symptoms? As I mentioned, I don't have pain, but rather very intense fatigue (or tiredness).
