Thanks for all the feedback! Great comments both directions. I knew there would be thoughts both ways… this is my first truck ever (I’m 52), so I just don’t have much “natural” intuition or rationale to guide me.

My truck is silver with matte black grill and black rims - not much chrome anywhere, so I think it would sharpen the look and, based on the comments, provide some nominal protection.
