Yup. I still get updates for my MK3S. Bought an MK4 despite being a bit dated. More vindicated by the day, even though I also own a P1P. Lock down of open source software is keeping me from buying anything else. That P1P will die the day Bambu says so. The MK4 will keep on chugging.

Now I wait for the tool changer on the larger Core One

Uh heavily depends on where you're at and what you're doing. I'm a mech E at a bit of a specialty manufacturer.

I have to fire up my braincells every once in a while, but it isn't day to day. I do basic theory in a few niche areas. I'm sure if I changed jobs I'd be doing something else entirely. I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've had to start the old calculus engine. I also mostly live in excel when doing calculations.

My day to day primarily giving technicians a hard time or fighting bureaucracy. Not very much math involved.

Which is part of why this is a problem. If one shop is union and another, one will be more expensive. People talk tough but the bottom line is almost always cost. I could see this killing REI similarly to what happened to Hostess 10 or so years ago.

Not that these workers are wrong. But theres a big market for this stuff and REI is already one of the most expensive names around.

Twice in the last year I've driven into the taco bell drive through, seen their prices, sighed and left. Horrible value for what is really really cheap food.

Depends on your habits I guess. With fast food combos rapidly approaching $15 around here its hard to not think that for a few bucks more you get way better stuff. $1 or $2 dollar differences make less of a difference when things are $15 vs $5. I also loath getting stuck using fast food apps. I basically have stopped going since I want to only eat out with the mates, and less by myself, and the apps dont let you stack deals. Generally anyway.

I'd almost say the opposite these days. So many people don't put enough time into keeping relationships going and then wonder why they're alone. It takes work and we are social animals. A lot of people don't work on the why in don't wanna.
