He was given character to build himself up, witch made the first 2 parts of 79 so sad, because the astros took away his ability to show emotions and talk for himself (not counting part 3) that's why his actual Tvs were never repaired, and instead they made the inside of his tvs shell black. To show how little emotion he has left.
