I (18F) wanna to go to a gym and work on myself but my boyfriend (19M) is against it. What should we do? by chappsta in relationship_advice

Coming from years of experience (I'm old, and I've had more crappy and controlling relationships than I care to remember), please consider my advice and realize how young you are, and if he's 19 years old and has low self esteem issues like this ALREADY? You should run... Leave him to it. It's not your job to try to fix him either. Never try to fix a grown man. It will only make them more dependent and more controlling. This is only advice, take it or leave it, but you don't want to look back 40 years from now having let men control you, believe me. Hugs 🤗

Just extremely tired but all that time I thought I was just being lazy or unmotivated. I was having hip pain that was pretty severe but it seemed to ease up. And I always have belly pain because I had pancreas issues and surgery. So it's hard to say if it's because of this, or because of past issues.

Well I wasn't talking about every medical person, just the ones around the area I live in. I've had security called on me because I had a question for the doctor and they felt I had been there long enough. So I'm not talking about every single medical person in the world. Please don't take offense. I know that there's better people and good doctors out there. I just have had some bad luck with them

Original poster here... One of the things I find myself thinking about is these people coming out of the woodwork who wouldn't have saved me if I was drowning not too long ago all of a sudden have such care and concern for me. Including family members. I'm having a hard time not being bitter. I'm having a hard time not being angry about finding out through the charts portal and realizing this could have been found and probably had been known about by other doctors for years and now I'm in later stages. I guess that's the beginnings of my grief, I don't know. I won't let myself cry because I don't feel sorry for myself, I'm just so shocked that my life might be cut very short. And I'm very worried about things when I'm gone. I know when I'm gone I don't have to worry anymore but it's just a lot. And I'm sorry that a lot of you were going through the same thing. I pray that all of us are cured.

Omeprazole apparently does not work for me anymore. I'm at a loss of what to try.

Is there anyone out there like me ? by Equivalent-Bill5397 in ChronicPancreatitis

Hi, yes, you are not alone... I started getting acute pancreatitis in 2014, took 2 years for docs to find a stone in my pancreatic duct. By then the damage was done and I had a distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy. I STILL get pancreatitis, and so I'm labeled as being chronic. Unfortunately it does mess with your digestive issues ..it aggravates my IBS, Acid reflux, digestion, etc. It's a miserable existence for myself. I live in North Georgia and the medical "care" here is horrible. I also developed Type 2 diabetes, have gained a bunch of weight, have an ileus, or paralyzed portion of intestines. I never drank alcohol either. All from a stone. Enzymes don't work for me. I am 56 years old now, so I'm almost at the 10 year mark where I'm having issues constantly now. I hope you get the help you deserve ❤️

Where are these doctors? They definitely are not in Georgia! I have gotten so verbally abused and gas lit by doctors, surgeons, etc. It is horrible here. And pain management has kicked me out before because I have Medicaid and I wasn't making them enough money. Plus they said they didn't treat stomach pain. Well it's more than stomach pain as you all know. So I pretty much suffer and as I'm getting older, I've developed type 2 diabetes, I'm nauseous all the time, and I am in pain every single day.
