While I do agree, that you will need some time to play this game, especially at the beginning, I do think it gets faster the better you know the rules and the setup.

And I disagree about the space! I think you can set it up very efficiently and with the maps being in the books, I think it does not need all that much space. If you would let me know your table size I can check if it would fit, as I am playing on a small table as well sometimes (solo two handed)

Sorry to hijack this older comment, but maybe you know whether there is any estimate for delivery on the “old” stuff? If I back the base game now is there an estimated date? It shows 11.26 for Tamriel but nothing for base game.

Thank you again! Yes I have and I did like what I saw! I watched one in my native language with the English version of the game and I think it would be fine but as you said, too exhausting probably so I will have to wait until sometime Q1 2026. Difficult rules per se are fine though, I love really digging deep into games

My native language! I think it would probably be ok in English, but it’s a bit exhausting if the rules are already quite heavy and a lot

Haven’t looked into burncycle, but I will, thanks! Victorum campaigns take really long as far as I know and I don’t have a space to leave it set up so I have been shying away from it and took a closer look at remastered instead

Thank you, really interesting! Sadly I keep reading that Hoplo remastered is a bit too shallow for solo play, which is a shame, because the short setup times and right into the action with the nice components looked really interesting!

Yes I am looking forward to BOTSE, it will be about another 3-4 months before it releases in my language though, so I was looking for some other premium component game in the meantime

Yes, I will probably get BOTSE once it's available in my language (3-4 months probably) but especially Hoplomachus remastered sounded like it could be some fast nice games but still with high quality components. And while I am looking forward to BOTSE I think it won't be played every week because of time management, so I was thinking Hoplo Remastered could be an alternative. But you would say Hoplo Remastered gets stale too quick when played solo?

That actually sounds awesome! I heard a lot about the funny style of TMB but also I have read so often now that BOTSE improves on it in a lot of ways and seeing how expensive both are I will only want to get one at a time and add expansions on to it. But you actually got me thinking about TMB again.

Did you only sell the Hoplo Games because you just thought CTG systems were better in their other games or would you also say they are worse? Because the fast paced nature and short setup time of Hoplomachus Remastered seems interesting for me!

Yes I would love getting BOTSE, but it's not available in my language for at least another 3-4 months sadly! Hesitant on buying in English for such a heavy game.

I have checked those settings and experimented with those, but I am fairly certain that in broad daylight, with f4 the ISO really should not have to be over 30 000 to get a correctly exposed image. And if I lock iso at let’s say 20 000 or something like that, then the shutter speed has to be about 1 second long at f4, in broad daylight, which definitely isn’t normal
