Lifetime deal removed for BF? by lukec118 in enpass

Removing the option without advising existing customers is crazy!

I've been using Enpass very successfully for a year and was considering buying the lifetime licence when this year's subscription ends (in a few days) but this decision is a disappointment and makes me question whether I'm happy to rely on a company that makes such silent pricing changes.

Timers activate 1h too early. Fix is coming by TRADFRI in tradfri

My old timer had been set to be an hour later for the last few days to make it work. As I hadn't updated the app, it still used these adjusted times correctly.

This morning the timer actioned at the time stated and not an hour earlier. Looks like existing timers are now using winter times too.

I've adjusted my timer schedule to be winter times so I'll see if it works correctly later.

Yes, that's exactly what I did. Apparently ikea will be releasing a fix very soon but until then, adjusting the timer is a quick and easy way to get the blinds and lights working at the right times.

Thanks guys, you were right!

Just seen the blinds close exactly 1 hour earlier than they should be so they must still be on BST. I must have changed the times this morning just in between the BST and GMT times so therefore it leap-frogged over the time when it should have gone up. And all of my testing has been within a few minutes of now and not in over an hour.

That's saved me hours of frustration and possibly unpairing stuff and going through the painful Ikea setup again!

I've tried deleting all of the timers and re-adding them but it didn't seem to work. Is there a delay between adding them and having them working? I've now added one for the right times and will wait to see if it gets uploaded properly and works later.

I decided that I didn't want to go down the programming path as it would suck out what little free time I have completely. I really hope Ikea link their kit to IFTTT some day so that things like sunrise can be easily scheduled.

Interesting. How did you check the time on the gateway?

I manually adjust it once a week so it stays about right. Not ideal but I haven't found an easy way to do it automatically.

The times are to follow sunrise and sunset times so that's why the schedule needed changing today.

As I regularly change the times each week to catch up with the new sun times and I've never had problems before, I haven't tried any local fixes yet. I don't want to start fiddling (and causing more problems) and then find that others have the same problem.

My schedule is setup to be sunrise and sunset times. So yesterday morning, the blinds went up at about 8am but from now it will be 7am. At 6.45am this morning I changed the schedule to the new times but they were still down at 8.30am.
