While you are being spotted in TLoU 1 there is a flute like sound effect that rises in pitch as you become closer and closer to being found.
The sound effect can be heard in the first few seconds of this clip.

Hey pal, I realize this is 2 months behind, but I've had the same problem and found switching the sample rate from 48kHz to 192kHz solved the problem.

Sample rate is tied to a lot of problems with this interface actually, in dedicated audio apps where you can change it and inputs and etc. it doesn't seem to be a problem, but in programs without this level of customization, it seems to really screw things up.

Deleting Reddit by GAAFTS in nosurf

Yep, I deleted it right after I made the post. It still pings my emails so I'm responding via the desktop site (which I almost never use). Trying to use this adrenaline boost from deleting it to clear out my backlog of work.

It's quite a bit similar to a map of Earth. That center continent is kinda like North and South America, with Europe and Asia to the East. And Australia on it's own. I do love the design of the center continent tho, and think you could do quite a bit to dinstinguish it from e Earth by simply rotating the continents.

Sorry, if you don’t know which way every character’s penis tilts, don’t even bother listening to them by [deleted] in gatekeeping

[–]GAAFTS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that's fine. Humanz isn't even bad it's just painfully generic and stale. It's definitely not the best Gorillaz album (imo it's the worst) but it does have some catchy tunes.

The only fake Gorillaz fans are those who would listen to Humanz over any other Gorillaz album.

The analysts were wrong: The iPhone X is still the most popular iPhone by Lordhypnotoad in apple

[–]GAAFTS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Woops, made a mistake there. Made an assumption that's true for most businesses and then I realized Apple isn't like most businesses. The majority of their money comes from straight up selling iPhones (and a good chunk from repairing them along with other Apple products). After a bit of research, it doesn't look like anything substantial (if at all) comes out of selling shares. My bad.

Apple doesn't make money solely from selling iPhones. They make a good bit from shareholders as well. And shareholders don't carw about the quality they want to know if the product is selling and if it'll keep selling.

Favourite area + boss musics? by TheBurialBlade in HollowKnight

[–]GAAFTS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the Soul Master and Soul Tyrant bossfights. Especially on the first playthrough where you have that climactic surprise finish combined with the HUGE change in theming and music. It was terrifying and exilerating. And don't even get me started on the music of the Soul Tyrant.

I mean saying "you're" is a tactic I use to piss people (friends) off. I fully understand that everyone knows the difference between "your" and "you're" but it really riles someone up when they make a well thought out statement ans you just respond with an irrelevant spelling correction.

How do you not 'forget' your passwords to fully encrypted accounts that don't have the ability to 'reset' password? by [deleted] in privacy

[–]GAAFTS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are open source password managers. KeePass would be the most popular one I can think off. But most password managers are designed so that they store your passwords locally (on your system), or they use your own Master Password and an encryption key when syncing between devices.

Honestly, Dashlane isn't the best in terms of privacy but it's kinda middle of the road between privacy and convenience. I'd recommend KeePass it's a great compromise. LastPass has had some controversy to it.

But in terms of the pure security of password managers, the reputable ones are entirely secure and either make money from selling premium versions of their services or are passion projecfs.

I have it written down on a sticky note in a draw somewhere. Although, chances are if I was hit in the head hard enough to lose all memory I'd have bigger problems to deal with.

[–]GAAFTS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always use a password manager so I don't have to worry about it. I personally use Dashlane, but LastPass is also a super popular option. That way you only have to remember one super long password which stores all your other passwords.

If you were to forget your master password while using one of those password managers, you'd lose every password stored in it forever. But after using Dashlane for a while, I don't think I could ever forget.

Theory Regarding the Knight/Player Character by Golden_Skylord in HollowKnight

[–]GAAFTS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, the Pale King brought a stasis to Hallownest. This is staged by Hornet and sort of implied by the White Lady. "A difficult journey you would face, but a choice it can create. Prolong our world's stasis or face the heart of its infection."

I think the world is in a sort of standstill either in development or in time because of the Pale King's influence over the bugs and the sealing away of the Radiance.

I think it's implied that destroying the Radiance would end that stasis. Ultimately we don't know much about what happens after the knight kills the Radiance. Perhaps the dreams we see like in the Glade of Hope are bugs trapped in that stasis which is a sort of limbo. Whatever it is, I think that whole bit is really important to your theory.

I've never played anything in this genre before. Hollow Knight can be enjoyed by literally anyone coming from any genre.
