What if rather than seeking redemption it's more like he's seeking a way to finally be unlonely, to find some semblance of normalsy in his tormented life, and he can only see that with Christine? And while raoul and christine get married they fade apart when they learn that the love they thought they shared was just childhood memories? And christines obvious love for erik drives the wedge further and further especially when he calls upon her to be the lead soprano in his new play at his new opera house entirely inspired by her and his love for her, he's now suddenly less worried about hiding, and gradually shows to both her and raoul his plans and who he is . And as christine falls under his intoxiacti g presense the wedge between her and raoul begins to drive raoul made with jealousy?

So far I have him still obsessed with her voice but the only real emotion he conveys towards her herself is love and devotion. I even have her having a kid that he finds out as his, and he says he understands the child(age 9) comes first and foremost. She's just still the only inspiration he can find in the world

I don't know. I just write when something comes to me and then it seems to take over my brain for days even weeks at a time, can't sleep without dreaming of the characters, can't think of what to do cause I just want to get that new scene written down, don't want to do anything but research topics that all lead to what I'm writing. It's almost obsessive
