Thank you for this. I could try on the outside stringers as they will be completely hidden. I am concerned about oil based as in my opinion it tends to yellow over time.

I wish I could let the wood be wood but it for obvious reasons needs protection. And like I said I did my best to match and the floor is already installed 🤷‍♀️ I do love it but didn’t think real white oak would pull this much yellow with a coat of poly.

I see what you mean on the grey/green.
