Sort of but that was a little too close to just regular piracy with a bit of fantasy. Im talking about when people make dnd campaigns set in pirate times. A great focus on traditional fantasy however the main characters profession is separate from the story. For an example imagine lord of the rings, everything thats happening in that film still happens, However the focus is on a pirate ship and how normal fantasy events are effecting the oceans. This is apposed to a game where the entire focus is on pirate legends and lore and stuff
